2022 GEC Liberty/Freedom #94/#49 Thread

Point taken, but I don't think that will stop the flippers. They probably got a good number of them. They only did 144 of the 73 Bocote wood and I saw several of them go up on the bay right away. I knew early on what the production number was, but I bet if they did the prices would've went much higher
It is quite possible that we may see some Blue Camel Bone 94s having been produced in 2022 when they release those numbers next year.
I was wondering that myself. I guess we'll have to watch to see if any are stamped 2022.

Some comparison shots. Medium jack and 83. Pretty impressive how they fit so much blade into such a small package.

Build is as good as it gets. The color bleeds to white at the bolsters in a few spots and the blade is ever so slightly off center, but those are gripes only because I learned them on this forum. And sometimes we're picky just for the sake of being picky. The tip is not proud, the scales are well matched, the shield is perfect, the blade is perfect and the action is perfect.

I just verified there will be more red and blue bone 94's added to the totals for 2022. The figures posted were just through the end of 2021. They will all be stamped 21 though.

The 94 Liberty with that flag pattern really appeals to me. The rest . . . not so much. But with other life issues, I really haven't had time to spend on knives for the past month or so, so I missed out. Thanks for posting your pics here, so I can enjoy them vicariously!

Kind of interesting to see the variation in hue. I wonder if they had some issues with the dyeing process, hence the delayed (out of sequence) release.

What's interesting to me is I thought The initial garnet release would be the shade of this darker version out of the gate. They are closer to the typical color of garnet and the lighter version is more like ruby. Maybe got it right too late or just added some variety.

Now looking back at the 94's, they had light and dark variations as well. I have a light one, but wouldn't kick any of them out of my pocket.

Oh my! Fit and finish unmatched in the production arena. Love the blue bone and the red isn't shabby either. Smooth white bones would finish the red / white / blue motiff, a person can dream. The team that assembled these knows how.

Got my blue camel bone yesterday. Was the perfect shade of carolina blue as a gift for my wife. Of course I took my time with fondling and inspecting it. Despite the blues being seemingly more popular than the reds, I find that the blue is almost "too pretty" to actually use, whereas the red has been at my side since I popped the tube, ready to cut, slice, and take blood when I shut it carelessly. I'm gonna have to try my hardest to land a red 49.
