2022 GEC Liberty/Freedom #94/#49 Thread

Wouldn't that be something? If I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet on it. Maybe an Elephant Toe in ivory acrylic😄.

Guess I should have been more specific. Did you get the acrylic or the garnet bone? Either way, 4-5 minutes is unusual.
 
These make for a neat pair. Both well made knives but I think my preference lies with the #49 - I am a sucker for a swayback and that laser sharp sheepfoot is going to make for a nice everyday kind of knife. I am really looking forward to the Garnet versions of these knives - I think they are the belles of the ball.

My 94 Garnet arrived today..... I do like the conventional handles better than the patriotic versions previously offered....... Fit, finish, lack of gaps and sans proud tips should leave even the most discriminating knife fondler smiling..... It is a perfect high quality small knife....... Well done GEC!!20211229_155100.jpg

I assumed the elephant would be some kind of synthetic ivory like handle material following the blue camel?

I tend to agree. Not sure about way better. I really like a sheepfoot and use it a lot, but I don't think it's as versatile as a clip if it's the only blade. Different strokes for different folks. YMMV.
