I too prefer my sheep foot to the clip. Had the chance to pick up a red one today but decided to wait for the blue camel bone instead.Mine arrived yesterday but couldn't find the time to post till now. I really like both but the sheepfoot is the one I favor more. I agree with others that like the size, an inbetweener kinda knife, for me at least. I'd like to pursue either bone version but these patriotic acrylics are nice![]()

Fill in the blank. My family looks at me like I am a lunatic when...
I can tell you that my #49 acrylic has a very proud tip. Gonna have to attempt filing the kick.Just received my 94 Garnet. Very nice for a knife in it's size class. The clip is easily pinchable. I'm considering a 49 but it looks like the sheepfoot sits awfully high for a frame this size, especially for pocket carry. Any input from anyone who already has one? Thanks.
Hmmm, I didn't even think about the tip. I was just looking at the spine height. I wonder if the tip issue is common? Thanks for your input.I can tell you that my #49 acrylic has a very proud tip. Gonna have to attempt filing the kick.
The spines of sheepsfoot main blades always sit really high on GEC's patterns. The 86 angus jack is the same, and it's a much larger frame.Hmmm, I didn't even think about the tip. I was just looking at the spine height. I wonder if the tip issue is common? Thanks for your input.
Oh, I know they do. I have an Angus but wouldn't carry that in my pocket. I have a 93 Ramsfoot I carry sometimes, and even though pronounced, it carries well in that frame. It just seems the 49 is exaggerated in that little frame and wouldn't ride well in the pocket. I guess I'd just have to try one to know if my suspicions hold true. Nice little collection. Are you going to use any of them, or just a nice little collection to enjoy?Three of the 49/94 family...... It will be nice to see the remaining knives in the lineup....

Thank you....... I don't use my GEC knives........ I know; I'm the oddball..... Right now I'm packing a yellow handled Case stockman as a carry knife......Nice little collection. Are you going to use any of them, or just a nice little collection to enjoy?
That's alright. Some of us use them, some just collect, some do both. You can always put them to work later if you decide to, but you can't make them mint again. Enjoy!Nice little collection. Are you going to use any of them, or just a nice little collection to enjoy?
