2022 Knives Listed on Buck Website...and then Delisted...Live Again!

Ha...they already pulled them back down. I guess they were being staged for later. At least I got a few snapshots of them.
Haha, I was just going to say that. Just after you posted, I went to the website and was able to take a look at them. Had a phone call and came back to look more in detail and gone. Thought I was going crazy!

I had that feeling a couple of months ago and pulled the trigger on several custom shop knives I've been wanting in October/November last year.
I think that was a smart move. new President aint come in to not make the company more profitable. add to that inflation in labor and materials, insurance, donuts and coffee for the crew😁 and about everything....no way can they keep pricing the same in the custom shop.....unless it was so high already it doesn't show in the financials as dragging on profitability.....so hasn't been noticed by new management.....yet.

Buck just bumped up the price of most of the knives in the New section by $5+ dollars. Not sure why most of those knives are in the New section since most were released early last year and some are listed as 2021 only. I guess they were new in 2021.

I've determined I like the Ranger more than the 110, but they'd have to try harder than what I'm seeing up there to make me commit to a new one.

...I think they should add the new blade profile to the custom shop knives, and give the option of having the fixed thumb studs or a nail-nick to them. Brass, elk, and a satin-finished EDC blade sounds really appealing to me... though I guess if you have the skillset, you just buy an 112 Slim and make your own on the cheap. /rant

I want more 5160 tactical and utility knives, darnit!

Frankly, some prices seem astronomical.
a 112 legacy folding knife circa 1972 tech plain jane no frills for $360?
mmmmmm Going to pas pass on that…..
the hunter sport model looks nice…I will get that

I REALLY want to order a 112 from the custom shop (have not ordered from the shop before) with elk handles, but I'm waiting to see if any new options will be added this year...

110 Hunter Sport looks interesting... I wish it were still there, as I'd love to see the specs and what sets it apart from the Classic 110, aside from the obvious aesthetic differences.

110 Slim Pro TRX is also interesting, simply because I'm curious what the difference is between it and the existing Slim Pro, especially considering that it only costs a mere $18 more.
It looks like they basically just finally got around to addressing some of the complaints about the existing Slim Pro, like replacing the pins with screws for easy disassembly/tuning. I'll bet they changed the pocket clip too, made it more like the ones on the 722. Spitfire

110 Hunter Sport - S30V steel, black anodized aluminum frame, micarta scales, new pocket clip, screw assembly, 4.6 oz

Sounds excellent, I might need to get me one of those eventually.

As far as the prices go, the 110 Hunter Sport seems alright considering that for 2021 they had another Aluminum Frame 110 that cost $100 more.
I'm not sure what's up with some of the other crazy prices, but there's always the possibility that they're wrong and that's part of the reason why they were taken down. If someone screwed up somewhere and new products were listed ahead of schedule, then there's a distinct possibility that the prices are all wrong too.

Otherwise, I would like to know what rare/precious metal that 112 Ranger Vintage Legacy Collection knife is handcrafted from, because it sure as heck isn't the 440 Stainless Steel that Buck was using back in the day. (Of course, it's probably just an ordinary Buck 112 with some custom engraving on it or something.)
