2022 Knives Listed on Buck Website...and then Delisted...Live Again!

I think so. Let me make sure. We have built some of those and since it is a new year it should be.
It looks like the LE version with the medallion and the 50th year blade stamp will be on the site next week.
The standard version that just has the 50th bade stamp will be up when we run out of some of the non 50th stock. Not sure when that will happen. I'll see if that can be requested on your order even though we still are running out last years ones.

Looks like the Slim Pro has an adjustable pivot now. If that’s the case I will finally give one a try.

Yeah, and let me tell you, it needs one.

I just got a 110 Slim Pro for Christmas this year, and the pivot is ludicrously tight on it. I've been working with it daily ever since trying to break it in, but to date it just gets gritty in short order because no matter how much I work the action, the pivot doesn't get any looser.

Frankly, I blame all the folks who whined about blade play at launch. I swear, if I didn't know better then I would think that Buck purposely tightened the pivot down as tight as it would possibly go just to spite those people, because I'll tell you one thing, there isn't a trace of blade play on mine.

Would it be possible, if I ask real nice, to get a pivot screw to replace the rivet on my 112?

Yep, I remember thinking that when all the whining about blade slop on the new slims was boiling over. I thought yeah, now Buck will snug them up a bit and then we will hear complaints about tight pivots. It seems there’s some guys that can’t stand even the tiniest amount of free play. Probably the same ones that think the blade centering has to be perfectly centered.

I don't know honestly, you'd have to ask Buck to be certain.

I would happily accept a bit of blade play in exchange for a blade which opens more smoothly, deploys more easily, requires less frequent cleaning/lubrication, and doesn't make an audible abrasive sound when the blade is opened/closed while dry.

I guarantee you that nobody who complained about blade play ever had any intention of ever using the 110 Slim Pro for everyday carry, much less for actual defensive use.

Try a Sprint. I have three. All open easy and smooth and have zero discernable blade play.

Thank you for looking into this.

Jeff Hubbard, are there any changes coming to the custom shop, specifically regarding options for a custom 112?

J Hubbard I think stevekolt is maybe asking if we will finally get the option for a drop point blade..I sure hope so! I will order one the first time I see it available. I sure hope Koa might make a return since the Take apart BOTM was such a hit. I'm ok if some options are only for a limited time..as supply's last. If Buck gets a limited amount of wood, horn like Rams horn for example, or blades (S35VN S45VN) we are absolutely delighted to send Buck money for a Custom! I long for really limited Custom materials as that really makes a special knife.

Any chance up an upgraded steel option this year for the 110 or 112 in the custom shop? I’m about to pull the trigger on a drop point 110 but will hold off if there’s an upgrade incoming. Not that there is anything wrong with s30v though.
