Randy Bell’s comments when asked about the new 72…SteveC any other info on that? Sounds promising.
Will this be the same blade shape as on these new ones?I'm anxious to see how this run turns out. I wonder if they will address the little bit of lock wiggle these are notorious for.
Here is mine from a past run.

Randy Bell’s comments when asked about the new 72…
“This had a new internal redesign for the spring and tailpiece. It allows more room and farther travel in the notch. It damn near eliminated the gaps on all the knives between the notch bottom and the Spring Bar. Now what this has to do with the actual lock up in my opinion is absolutely none however everyone of these that I tested was Rock Solid.”
I'd guess that they haven't been cut further yet to became an actual lock barsthis is a pic from the #721123LB CODY SCOUT
and it looks like a spring from a non locking #72 (or one of his identical brothers)?

It sounds like the pre orders are sold out, but the regular release is yet to come.So is it basically too late to try and snag one of these or is there a place to check? Preferably a BF vendor.
Absolutely not. How could it? 72 is a single-blade trapper, basically. 110 is a locking sodbuster.Could this be a GEC Buck 110 clone!?
I don't buy many traditional knives, but I love the looks, and the lock, on this one. Any idea what dealers might have them?It sounds like the pre orders are sold out, but the regular release is yet to come.
I'm hoping to try to get one of these too. The 72 is a great knife and I'm interested to see the new lockup too.
GEC's website has a list of dealers that carry them.I don't buy many traditional knives, but I love the looks, and the lock, on this one. Any idea what dealers might have them?
This is GEC’s most interesting knife in a long time.
With the new lock design, this will be a new classic from GEC. Could this be a GEC Buck 110 clone!?
We are barely at 2 pages and the first cover in burlap has been completed…… must get a burlap 72 to match my Carothers chopper……
I sense a lot of people are pretending not to notice this knife…….! Haha
Well said.Ya I think I'll sit this one out....no need to rush to buy one, probably won't be popular....
Could this be a GEC Buck 110 clone!?
Levine would classify both in the broader category of Folding Hunter, so the comparison is not too far fetched.Absolutely not. How could it? 72 is a single-blade trapper, basically. 110 is a locking sodbuster.
One more time for the folks in the back:Ya I think I'll sit this one out....no need to rush to buy one, probably won't be popular....
