I didn’t see a thread for these yet. Let’s see your GEC 78s!

I just received my woodland richlite 78 from this run, and I think it is great. Stout, tough, perfect fit and finish. The woodland richlite cover is awesome. This is like the slip joint knife a G.I. Joe would carry.

Anyone who can compare a 2 bladed 78 from 2017 run

I don’t care what you call it but I want one in the whiskey barrel oak.
Has anyone seen what the whiskey barrel oak looks like? I may go for one if it is a cool looking grain.

I’m definitely going to try to get a “no soup for you!” bone.

No. GEC should be putting out a picture this week.

No photos yet that I’m aware of. Hopefully similar to the charred whiskey oak from the beerscout years ago.

It's hard to tell from some pics but you can sort of see it here; there is some green in the handles. It's easier to see in real life, but it does fit the "woodland" name very well.

Mine has dark green, light green, and some spots of orange in some places.

Rockler had a bunch of whiskey barrel oak last time I was out there. It just kinda looked like reclaimed old oak really.... Nothing to write home about. Hopefully the stuff for the knife covers is more exciting. I'm sure GEC isnt using the run of the mill offerings.

As far as the is it or isn't it argument, the Wrights "barlows" were deemed not Barlow worthy last time I showed them and they look to have about the same size bolsters as the ones shown here.
