2024 Remington Bullet Knife

Wow the pics are excellent, I’m looking forward to seeing what I get, I love that light colored bone on the previous page.

Mine came today! Beautiful knife. Love the artwork on these GEC Remington boxes…they’re like mini movie posters from a John Ford western or something 😀View attachment 2502676View attachment 2502677View attachment 2502678View attachment 2502679
The artwork is a bit of a bastardised version of Larry Duke’s “bad time for a snag”. Which is part of a set of paintings Duke did for the original Remington bullet knife reruns from the 80s/90s? Have a look at em, there’s some cracking imagery there. I managed to track down the ‘94 “times a waistin son”, pure Americana right there 🤣

That's first GEC Remington not marked with GEC's standard code. It goes with R693SB instead. I assume it is a homage to original Remington designation. Can someone knowledgeable comment on that, please?

The original knife from Remington was the R693HA, with jigged brown bone.
I would guess that R693SB refers to the original Remington coding, R meaning pocket knife, 69 being the pattern number, 3 being bone handle, SB referring to Silver Bullet.

Thank you very much, that type of things is always very interesting! Do you know what HA meant on the original Remington?

While both are nice, this year’s Remington knife is a cut above last year’s IMO.

Just received the Hawkbill

Felt that I had to get it too just to go along with the Barlow . The color is a little lighter than the Barlow .

Most noticeable is the fact that the inletting of the shield on each of them is perfect and the Blade Centering and Pulls are too .
I also had to get my Northfield 47 Hawkbill out to get a photo of them together .

I am not sure that I will ever use the Hawkbill , but I have other Hawkbills .
There have been too many Enablers to mention them all but the first one was probably my friend from the north paulhilborn paulhilborn .
GEC did themselves proud with these 2 Silver Bullets .
