2025 first knife purchase?

Well, since the Knife Makers Syndicate has been cancelled this year, I went and bought a Quite Carry Drift XL. And like clock work, USPS now lists it in transit and "arriving late." Good job USPS...

just to show you how blessed I am with new knives :
I swore I could never buy a Shaman until they got some serious texture on the sides of those scales and some M4 in between.

Then that dambed blue one showed up.👀 😍
I was so smitten with the color I was actually able to lie to myself long enough I was able to finally convince myself there was some texture on the scales.
Sippery as an eel in hand and the blade is too thick.
Danged if the edge geometry and factory sharpening isn't REALLY, REALLY GOOD !
IT CUTS GREAT !

Well turns out there was that little matter of the Spyderco Drunken I just bought .
You know , we all have to do our part to keep the knife vendors in business for when we REALLY NEED a knife they can be there for us .
HA HA that direct deposit tax return didn't have a chance to draw breath and look around before it was on its way to a new home.

How do I like this supposedly reprehensible abomination ( one might ask ) ?
