Are parts outsourced from Asia (110/112 magnacut?) and then assembled at Post Falls labeling made in USA?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

I seriously doubt it. I think the only thing imported about the current 110 options is the sheath. Are parts outsourced from Asia (110/112 magnacut?) and then assembled at Post Falls labeling made in USA?
I wonder if the new Nomad will replace the Stinger? Can't see them both in the lineup ...This bugged me a little bit after watching the video. If you can make the 724 Mustang with 420HC in the U.S. for $75, why are you importing the Chinese made 700 Nomad and 698 Ferrox in D2 and selling them for the same $75? Maybe it is a capacity issue at the Post Falls plant? Are flippers more expensive to produce? I wasn't really impressed by the Chinese made D2 Stinger and Ruckus that Buck released last year. They have the Buck name on them, but Chinese made D2 steel flippers for around $50 are not that impressive. Every major knife company makes them along with all of the Chinese knife makers.
They should show up to the other retailers soon. KC might have gotten an exclusive for the early announcement. Is Knife Center the only outlet to purchase?
I'm not viewing the new slim models on Buck site.
Is Buck and KC in partnership with each other, both are located in VA?![]()
I am hoping for lower cost option as well. I suspect we will see it, but when is the question.Sadly, Buck is forcing the magnacut in the Heritage 110/112 Heritage Elites (adding $50+ to the price) instead of offering it in 440 and/or S30V.
Interestingly, "magnacut" is not stamped on either blade in the KC video samples...showing that a non-magnacut version is within reach.
Hopefully they will offer a "pro" and/or "select" version for both the 110/112 Heritage Elites later in 2026 as well.

One more thought...
I bet that the "other Buck offerings for later in 2026" will be 300 series and Range series iterations. I'd be pumped to see this!
$74.99 seems high to me, but my brain might be stuck in old pricing. This bugged me a little bit after watching the video. Buck has done something similar a couple of different times.Love the look of the new Heritage Slims and that Buck continues trying new things with a Classic.
BUT, I would be really upset if I purchased the Stealth # 12 at $225 and now the same knife can be purchased at $220; what would really make me send the Stealth back to Buck for a refund is, now the "rarity" value of the Stealth is gone.
Buck also did something similar to a 110, I believe, BOTM. One time, I would say could be a mistake by Buck. Doing it twice is a pattern. Doing this destroys the collectibility of the BOTM and Stealth knives. And is a %$*ð way to treat your customers Buck; if I'm wrong about the duplicate knives (making a Limited Edition knife and then making the same exact knife in regular production) I apologize for my rant.
I also don't see any difference between the Stealth and the 2026 Heritage Slim nickel silver model. Below is the write up from Buck for the Stealth:
The Buck 110 Slim Elite is an all new, slimmer variation of the 110 Folding Hunter. This knife features a satin finish, BOS heat treated, MagnaCut steel, clip point blade. The handle is made of ebony inlays with nickel silver bolsters. This slimmed-down 110 handle is ¼” thinner than the standard 110. It also has a tumble-polished, deep carry pocket clip. Only 1,000 pieces of this unique knife were expertly built as part of the 2025 Project Stealth, Run #010, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
I don't take issue with a popular stealth run turning into an orderable option. Quite the opposite, it's nice to see good designs become available to people who want and would use them but missed out on the "drop."
When first introduced, Buck said the reason for doing stealth runs was to test new materials and processes. If the new materials or processes were well-received, then they would incorporate them into regular production. They were not making limited edition batches that were to intended to be rare and collectable. That's what the Buck of the Month program is for.
That's a fair point. If advertised as exclusive then later made no longer exclusive, I guess that's sort of false advertising. The problem is promoting the exclusivity of 1,000 pieces only to make thousands and thousands more later. Should've use a more unique handle material for the stealth run.
Seems like the first Magnacut 110 was exclusive to a number of pieces, until it wasn't.
Could not agree more.Slims rock, but the clip kills it for me every time. Be what you are, and lose the clip, and I’m in. More for you guys.
The good news is that the clip is held on with two screws so it would be easy to take off. You’d still have two holes, but that would be an easy fix with a couple of filler screws.Slims rock, but the clip kills it for me every time. Be what you are, and lose the clip, and I’m in. More for you guys.
