Another 2026 Buck video. BHQ.
I went through the same thought process. The slim 112 looked like a good choice but then I picked up my 112FG, which feels like it might have been custom built to fit my hand, and I don't think I would enjoy the slim version as much. My 112 Slim Select is good for pocket carry (nail nick version with pocket clip removed), but I think that is due to the light weight in addition to how slim it is.I was gonna get a Slim Heritage 112 but I think I will wait until I can handle one first. It might be too slim for me and those Ebony slabs look really thin.
When I carry a standard 112 loose in my pocket I get used to the weight and bulk in less than an hour of carry and the in-hand feel is the main reason that I like the 112.
I might have a different perspective if I carried a 110 but I don’t.
This comment along with a what I caught on Instagram late last year from Buck in reply to another person about the return of the TRX Slim Pro gives me 98% confidence that the TRX 110/112 will return with the crossbar lock. Could just be my wishful thinking though!About minute 8:15 the guy from Buck mentions a thumb stud and crossbar lock. Not sure, but it seems like he is hinting at something ? ? ?
.The 2026 catalog is on the BCCI site.
There's also a list of discontinued models under the model history section. Under 2026.
The Slim Selects I have are good for EDC light carry. I did get both 112s this Christmas, glad I did since prices for a bucks have gone up with the new year. I had a 25% off coupon so I got my standard 112 with grooves for a great price.
