2026 Farm&Field Tool: Rustic Whittling Knife

The blade finish is just right but I'd prefer a more prominent domed pivot and no shield, it somehow jars with the small blade long handle. Think Ettrick knife.
If you've handled purpose-built carving/whittling tools, they appear perfect!!!
I Love Ettricks also!!

Notable pair, Charlie!! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

When I saw yours, I went searching on eBay, out of curiosity. The first pair I found had my birth month and date as serial number, and the asking price was only $19 less than that 4-digit number! 😲:eek:

Even though the set was obviously made with me (or someone who shares my birthday) in mind, the price was "just a bit outside" my dollar-a-day knife budget! 🤓

I’ve been drooling over pictures of these knives and telling myself as usual I don’t need one, while at the same time trying to decide which one or ones to get. I like the dark chestnut handles better than the pine. Should I get one with a long or short blade? Or should I get both? I might be able to keep the electricity on for another month if I got only one size instead of two. But then it hit me that I already have both of these knives. The model 62 whittlers have a 2 inch and two 1.25 inch wharncliffe blades tucked neatly into one handle, which are the same blades in the new 93. Since I have several 62s, I basically have several model 93s already. Maybe I can resist getting one of these new whittlers with the cool looking tumble finished blades and perfect sized handles and cool beaver shield. Maybe.IMG_2418.jpeg

That is precisely the reasoning I successfully followed. I own 3 Farm & Field 62 and consider them as the perfect whittlers. That and a fair amount of will.
