20th Anniversary Mean Street!!!!

Mike...Magoo posted a pic of the Blade magazine article with all of the Anniversary blades in it. There will be a 20th AMS CG version with what looks like Micarta handles

That one has a coated blade though. I think Mike is about like me in regards to preferring a satin blade.

I was hoping the satin blade may be Black Paper, but the more I look it seems to be G10. Maybe they will be more versions of this knife at a later date, or at least I hope so. Would make a great hunting knife in satin/micarta.

I say that because the black bussekin g10 I have appears to be more textured than my black paper. The g10 seems to have very slight variations in color, like little white specks.

AFAIK G10 is made with glass fabric cloth. So when it is machined, the glass portion , which is not colored, will show.

LOL..you guys are picky. I'm hoping the CG is FFG, like it's Satin brother...then it becomes a wonderful stripper candidate for a user blade. Hell...doesn't even matter if it's FFG...as long as it's not .25 thick.

I agree with Adam, bet it's Black Paper. Has Busse even released a limited edition satin knife in G10 only? From my brief experience, there are either a) options or b) it's black paper.

Starve yourself, you little 20th AMS beauty :D

Many folk felt that the handle on the Anorexic BOSS Street was a little thin, what with a skinny blade and thin slabs. A lot went back in for liners. This new handle shape is certainly good looking, lets hope the handle is just a little thicker.

Yeah, I'm picky, and it sounds like you can be a little picky yourself:p

Hah! My wife would say I'm the pickiest of the lot of ya ;) I admit I do like strippers...can't help it. But they can't be fatty...

No fat strippers! Can't argue with that.

I'm guessing black paper on this one. Blade length four inches, or less?

Very cool blade! Looks like a perfect edc - for those who like me prefer to edc a fixed blade. From the looks I judge the blade to be 3,25" - 3,75" long. I also hope for canvas micarta handle and no choil option :)

Glad I took a break from the Forum. Tell me when it's available... wait... also tell me when the 30th anniversary Flying Mojo is available too!

If so, that's a bit shorter than the Boss Street, which was what -- 4 or 4.25"?

According to badmojo.net original mean streets had 3,5" blades with 8,25" OAL. This new anniversary mean street is clearly a project based on original mean street, so the sizes should be pretty similar. Only the handle should be a bit shorter due to a shorter pommel, which is a big plus in my book, because there's no need for such a big pommel in such a small knife. I also hope for 0.15" thickness - with full flat or even full convex it'll still be a good cutter, but a strong one, and busses just cannot be too skinny, are they :D
