20th Anniversary Mean Street!!!!

I can't believe it's been almost 20 years for Swamprat. It feels like just yesterday when they came out with the differentially tempered BR and CT.

A bit confusing the way its laid out...and I'm curious to get the boss hogs take on it....but here's my thoughts.

30th anniversary of busses custom shop....celebrated with the flying mojo.

20th anniversary of busse combat....celebrated with the bm and ms variations.

10th anniversary of swamp rat....celebrated with the ratweiler and taliwhacker.

Same profile as the BOSS Street?
I don't quite get all the excitement over a new knife that so closely resembles several others already out there. I always feel like the minority in cases like this, but I have no need for multiple several hundred dollar knives that are practically all the same.

I agree. The Tali-Whacker gave birth to Swamp Rat Knife Works after 9-11-01.

Here, have some Kool Aid. :very_drunk:

So everyone that is saying this has the same specs as compared to another, you must know the specs that I must have missed. Please share.

Its not that hard to tell its pretty close to other Busse EDC models without full specs.

I think its a good opportunity for people who were not lucky enough to score a Busse in that size range to own one. Especially at factory pricing.

I didn't buy the other knives in this range, because they weren't what I wanted. This one is close. It does resemble many of the other EDC size knives, but they are not all the same. If they would just re/release the BA III I would absolutely be on board, because that's what I want. I wouldn't buy one just because they put another knife out though. I felt like you do about choppers for a long time. But, to each their own.

It is nothing like the Boss Street that your quote was about, nor is it the same size.
Many people get excitment over a new knife, whether its in the same size range as others in the past. Busse has covered every size range, but we don't expect them go out of buisness, and quit making knives:p

People are just guessing, nothing more. I guess the blade to be around 3 1/2, a handle about as broad as a Cultie or just a tad more, and a broader blade than a Cultie with plenty of belly. There hasn't been a Busse that looks like this one.

I think the old ms had a 3.5" blade with a 7.5" oal. If this one's close, I'd buy two combat grades =)

Just noticed this as I have been in hiding for a while. I need one!! Geez that sure is beautiful.

Well the anorexic Boss Stret was not offered in an economical combat grade, only the thick one was. There also was not a choice on handle materials on the anorexice LE ones. I for one am looking forward to choosing exactly the colors I want both on a combat grade and an LE.......but only if it is relatively thin.
