212 Ranger

Dang, that looks like a handy little blade. Not on Buck's website... what are the chances of it going into regular production? W2 steel sounds real nice, BTW...

Keep an eye out for limited runs from Buck. If nothing else keep an eye on this thread for new releases.

The one from Copper and Clad is not w2.

Yes it’s a great sized knife.

I meant the 212 -- I have a 112 from Buck's Custom Shop, S30V with oak scales... like it so much I got one in walnut for my BIL.
w2 lucite version is still out there. just hunt for buck 212 w2...you'll find them. I'd link but it would fall under deal spotting......

WOW, when do I get one of these gems?:)

I posted this 212 in the SPS a few weeks ago. Just wish Buck didn't use the 'billboard' Limited Edition on the blade. Love the handle!

Sorry, my computer is down and in the shop and has been for the past week. I have an iPhone SE and it’s not easy to surf the web or forums. You might check Buck’s website or run a Google search for 212EKSLE. HTH, good luck.

I was tempted by it too. Nice looking knife for sure. Love the look of the brass pommel, but it might be handle heavy? Stuffer, Let us know how it feels once you get it.

I already have the 212 with black phenolic handle and yes it is a little “handle heavy” with balance point about an inch behind the finger guard. That one will be used “in the field”. This one will be displayed on a buck plastic display stand because I think it looks cool. That is about as scientific as I get.

If I get another 212 I want it to be 1 of 13 with buffalo handle. Or one with stag or bone the red micarta would look good also or burgundy micarta

The best 212 sheath in my opinion made by makael View attachment 1148624
Reply to the sheath thread and show some more pics of that! That looks good. Lets see the other side.

I think sometimes we show just knives and the sheath can make or break how you feel about a knife.

Mike does nice work!

Also, do me a favor if you would please, stop posting pictures of that nickel Ranger Pro......... I've bought enough knives for awhile.
Thanks.

Thanks..........? Perfect response.......

I've been thinking about one with a thumb stud too!

I like the little tree tool work on the sheath It's only fitting to have a nice knife in a nice sheath. Good choice.

I love fixed blades but find myself leaning towards folders as I use them more. Those look great.
I've been eyeing those cross draw sheaths too.

The wife's looking at me over her glasses now......she knows the routine.

Good end to the day!
