25 Things a man should be able to do, (accordin' to MSN) How many can you do?

I've never framed an entire wall, rescued a boater, performed CPR, or extended my wireless network but I've got the rest of the list covered.

Oh well, are those really the most important 25 things a man should be able to do? Where is driving a woman crazy (when the batteries run out, I mean) ?
Never cleaned a bolt action rifle myself as I never had one (I only had AK-47 in the army, do those count?) :p
And the wall frame thing is hilarious. Why not "building" a poop chute instead?
But the backup of your harddrive is a good idea. Any person, man or woman should do it from time to time.

(I only had AK-47 in the army, do those count?) :p
.

My father did too when he served in the Romanian army. If you can clean a romanian AK you're doing ok.:)

I've done 22 of them. Never had the occasion to do CPR, rescue a capsized boater (although I've towed a boat with engine trouble & crew back to the dock), or framed a wall.

I've done quite a few, all but three actually but never rescued a boater, and since I'm a terrible swimmer I'm afraid I'd be more problem than solution anyway and I have not bought an HD TV to attempt to hook it up so not sure there.

Lastly, I didn't know there was a way to extend or squeeze out a bit more range for my wireless so I'll be looking into that.

Thanks

I've done some, and prepared to do others should the occasion arise, but had no interest in doing others. I expect I could do any of them well, if I felt the need and chose to apply myself.

It seemed like dumb list, to me: too many irrelevancies in there, and too many fundamentals left out. Heinlein's list looks closer to the mark.

Some other list candidates could be:
Heimlich maneuver
stalk an animal
take care of an infant
deliver a baby
write effectively
speak effectively
please your spouse
defend yourself
create and solve equations

Perhaps later I'll try to come up with a full "top 25" list.

A gentleman of leisure does not have to do those things. That's what lackeys are paid to do. ;)

I'm good on everything but backing up a trailor, I totally suck at that.but 24 out of 25 isnt bad in my book

Retouch digital photos? Hook up an HDTV? Extend your wireless network?

This is a MAN list, correct? :D

24 out of 25, never resqued a boater, but i trained in it, does that count? :)

Like with the CPR thing, you should know how to do it, not necessarily have done it.

I have never put up a wall ( but am confident I could). I have also never done anything with my wireless network. I have never had to give full blown CPR (but have had to give heimlich, and saved several drowning swimmers). I have saved a capsized boater in my own canoe more than once (scouting canoe trips).
Does setting your own broken bone count? done most can do the others.
