Contest is now closed, no more entries. I will be starting to draw for prizes ASAP.

Time for another GAW, this time the prize is actually multiple items. This will be open for entries threw 3/23.

Note sorry it's taken a few days between drawings. I intended to do this faster but this is a very busy time of year with school activities starting up and the weather getting nice for kids sports and such. I will try to get one drawn per day this week but can't guarantee it'll be that fast. All prizes will ship together at the end.


Remaining prizes:
2x 4-side diamond blocks (2 winners)
2- piece set of C/F SiC & Arkansas stone (seen in first pic)
1 Denim strop

Prizes claimed:
Leather strop
3-piece set of 4" stones (C&F diamond, hard white arkansas)
DMT EF plate
1 denim strop

There are several prizes, winners will be drawn one at a time and have their choice of remaining prizes.

First the conditions:
•You must be interested in freehand sharpening and you shouldn't have comparable equipment already. (You don't have to be good at it, but if you have no interest in learning please let someone else have the chance)
•You must be a supporting member (any level) or have a minimum of 60 posts.
•Shipping is on me so this is limited to CONUS+3 (AK, HI, & PR, sorry but even if I asked you to pay shipping it wouldn't be worth it)
•Each participant can have up to 4 entries (explained below), feel free to post as many times as you want, at the close of the contest I will tally all the entries so it's not based on post number.

To enter:
1. Simply post "I'm in", this will get you 1 entry for registered users/basic members, 2 entries for gold and above.
2. You can receive one additional entry by posting a picture of your sharpening equipment along with a blade you sharpened.
3. You can receive another (possibly 4th) additional entry by posting a picture of a green knife on the 17th (for St. Patrick's day).

Drawing will start on the 24th and will one at a time, the winner will be notified and aloud to choose their prize (or prize package) then the next winner will be drawn.

Good luck everyone, this is not an entry as I have all the sharpening equipment I need, short of a 2X72 belt grinder :) this is a nice thing your doing, might be nice to include some links for sharpening with the hones and stones.

Thanks for doing the give away. Strangely enough I don't have a green knife, it never occurred to me before or else I would post a picture of it for you.
 
Just a suggestion..... Most users interested in learning or starting freehand sharpening aren't going to have 60 quality posts in mt&e. Largely due to the fact that they're usually the ones asking the questions and don't have a ton of input.

Just a suggestion to help w/ your awesome GAW.

Well, that's my 2 cents....which retails at about $0.0025 ;)

Good point, changed to anywhere on BF. If anyone is wanting to join in, and honestly needs a sharpener, feel free to post your interest and we'll decide of its cool. All I'm trying to do it weed out the people who are only here to enter in GAW's and those folks are pretty easy to pick out by looking at post history. So "rule" changed.

I'm going to extend this out, coming up on my 2500th post and I'm gonna expand the prize lot a little. Updated info will be up in a day or so, the new deadline to enter is the 23rd. The rules are still the same as is the entry method and again post # is NOT your entry, I will actually tally entries after it's closed so feel free to have a discussion.

I figured that's what u were doing and I've seen those vultures on here quite often. Early GRATS on the 2500 posts! Talk about contributing! :D
 
Allright guys, prizes added and rules changed up a little, all previous entered are still valid. Check it out and don't forget your 2nd, 3rd or 4th entries. Remember your pic of a green knife only counts if posted on the 17th!
 
I'd love to enter, but no way I can take these goodies away from someone that doesn't already have a crate of gear.

Thank you, If I am lucky. I would love to get the strop set up possibly, or diamonds. They are all great.
I free hand on a coarse diamond.
Finish on sharpmaker.
Ive got skill but need to bump up the duds.
