I like the shield on that one.Great giveaway Andi! I've learned quite a bit from your posts, and I thank you for it. This time last year I didn't "get" the Muskrat pattern, then I got one. Since that time I've discovered that I really like the pattern. I've also discovered since then that Schlieper makes a terrific traditional pocket knife!
Please count me in, and here's my favorite Muskrat style knife. Northwoods calls it a "mini-Moose", I still think it's an "improved" Muskrat:

Because it was commonly used by muskrat trappers and is good for skinning small animals.I'm in, thanks for the opportunity. A Muskrat (well, since it's a German knife eine Bisamratte) is still missing from my collection and I'm always open to new patterns
(Does anyone know why this pattern is called a muskrat?)
Is that a cobra? or what? Not familiar with that one.![]()
You can just make out the stamp on this Schliepper hunting knife that belongs to mate colleague Dave.It was his grandfathers and he was Norwegian.
Thanks for the chance Andi. Out of interest-a not too friendly local I took this one on a training to handle snakes day.It just seems to say "don't mess with me man! I'm not going in the bag." These are one of the worlds most venomous snakes. It went in the bag after a bit of a chase.
cheers![]()

Thats an australian brown snake...I stepped on one of them as a kid lol
The eastern brown snake is considered to be the second most venomous terrestrial snake.
