i tried woodford reserve and to me it's okay. i tried a bunch of others and maker's mark tastes the best for me. 2nd is jim beam. judging alcohol is very subjective so i don't even pay attention to what others say is best.
i'd say buy a different bottle a week and do a taste test. or grab a few buddies and each one should bring a different bottle one night and you should be blind-folded. oh yeah, after 20 min any attempt at a very scientific taste test goes out the window though![]()
Very true, taste is subjective and some bourbons can vary by batch. The last time I had Knob creek I didn't like it and haven't bought any since because there are so many others to try. I'm sure Knob creek is still excellent though.
Jim Beam 7 year isn't bad for the price. I usually will choose it over the regular JB if I can afford to.
