3 Great Benchmade EDC folding knives...

I only own a few Benchmades, but they work just fine. The cut stuff and the lockup on all of them is rock solid (incl. a 10-y.o. Mini Grip).

I recently picked up a Mini-Presidio w/CF Elite scales and it's a pretty sweet little folder. I can't find anything not to like about it.

I have a few Benchmades, but of those mentioned in the original post, the only one I have is the Mini-Grip. I've had it for about 15 years, but a few years ago my wife decided that it was perfect for her, so she's been carrying it ever since. I really like the idea of the 3 1/4" blade, lightweight Bugout & wish it was offered in M390. I still may get one. There's nothing wrong with S30V I guess.

I've got the full-size BugOut with S90V Steel, and Carbon Fiber scales. It's a knockout!

That's really nice, Bob!!! By the way, where do you place the Benchmade 940 on your list of favorite Benchmade knives? Also, do you have the green aluminum or another version? I hear people complain about the green aluminum getting marked up and catching on your pants and all, but I think it looks terrific. That said, I know that the Osborne in G-10 doesn't have any backspacers, so that one cleans easier. Anyway, I was just wondering where the 940 ranks on your scale and which 940 you prefer (excluding the S90V version, which is too expensive for me right now)?

The newer "SelectEdge" Benchmades are ground at 14 degrees per side. I would like to try one, but haven't seen a model that appeals to me yet.

I have the 940-1
I resisted buying one for a long time, and I regret the wasted time...

I like Benchmades. I think they've always made a good knife. My all time favorite BMs are probably the Mini Rukus, the Mini Skirmish, and the last one will have to go to a recent production model and I'm currently tied between the Bugout and the Griptilian on that one.

One thing I've thought since I came back to knives last year is that people are missing out on the old original Presidio. The Presidio 2 looks nice and I'm glad it's getting pretty popular, but the old Presidio, with it's aluminum scales, was just awesome.

You can get the 535-4 bugout then, it has the M390 blade and the aluminum scales are so much nicer than the grivory, it's a beautiful knife. Picked one up a few weeks ago and love it
