30 Days of Becker, BK16 Again

+ 1 for Clich and Trade's answer
After handling and I mean reaalllyy handling the RBK this weekend that is hands down the one that I would be most excited about, and with a thicker stock would be amazing.

I also have to agree with Gyth, the Tweener line up as folders would be a damn fine addition to the Becker line up.
All three of those blade designs are just spot on imho.

A 7 inch BK-2 and a clip point BK-2, I love the 6 1/2 to 7 inch blade range on a Survival/Woods knife, and I think the only thing about the 2 that I dont love is that it feels just a little short for my tastes.
I dont think that it is actually too short by any means, but for my personal taste a 7 inch BK-2 would be the tits.

The clip BK-2 ? Well I am sure that there probably isn't any real NEED for one to exist, buut after seeing the Warriors, and after handling the 17 I have become a believer. The clip point on the 17 is just freaking flawless.

I'd sorta like to see that short recurve tweener, not that I'm into those but a bunch of people are.

Other than that the warroir had some outstanding ideas.

I would love to see a Becker Tomahawk. Something about 3/8" thick, with a hammer pole, and the handles reminiscent to the grivory BK handles.

3/8th machax. that is all.

oh, and a full line of khukri like objects from tweeners on up to the RBK and beyond :)

Becker Combat and Tool :)

There's a new definition for BCT, and it ain't the Army's neither! Becker Combat & Tool, your one stop shop for all your bushcraft, survival, and combat needs!

I am going to have to go with my favorite, the BK10. When I go camping I used to take a hatchet, then I got interested in knives and took a BK9/BK14. And then I got a BK10 and thats all I take now besides a backup BK14 or Mora in the pack. The BK10 is the perfect bushcraft knife for me. It is plenty thick, can carve and split wood just fine. I would love to have a BK10 with the new features (Laser etched and coating). Wouldn't change a thing about it either, no micarta, no added choil, no new sheath, its perfect the way it comes!

With all that said, I do find it a little uncomfortable while its on my hip in the kayak. So I keep my BK14 on the hip in the kayak BUT a BK16 would be just about perfect (dont have one yet) for kayaking trips! Do everything from making a kindling for my canteen stove to spreading peanut butter!

Gotta be the Brute for me. That is one totally bad azz blade.

Brute.jpg

Could be better with a grenade launcher attached.

The Kitchen Knives hands down. I would love for my wife to be just as in love with a Becker knife as I am.
...Followed shortly by the Becker Tactical Skillet

And the Sweskabar

I gotta add my vote for the Brute.

Can't be a machete because they just came out with the "new" -4. Wouldn't want to dim that dazzle at all.
It's not going to be a -10 since they got such a lukewarm reception with the LE models I'm sure KaBar would be hesitant to repeat that.

The Brute just has such complex, other-worldly grinds and weighted sections it BEGS to be re-introduced in some kind of anti-alien action movie, carried by the hero (heroine?), but in-the-white as they say in gunsmith talk, so the sexiness isn't hidden by the black coating.

I would like to see the 10 come back IMO it's about the best all around survival knife in the Becker line. As for something new I would like to see a new necker. I love the 11 but it is a bit big for EDC. The Remora just doesn't quite do it so how about this.
becker0001.jpg

Short enough to carry all the time, good old 1095CV steel & a great back up or piggy back knife.

Took me too long to put my thoughts together ^^^^^:o

Original thought:
I would like to see a BKT-STT: (BKT - Survival Tin Tool)
Made 1095 tough and sturdy able to fit in a typical tin. Squared spine for ferro rod striking. A handle made to be wrapped with bank-line. I will post drawings later.
Could be marketed with the Tool, Tin, and a Ferro Rod.

I also like the thought of a BKT hatchet. 12-16 inch handle, hammer poll, sharper than a snark.

RBK all the way:

I'm not sure how thick these were, but this should be a Becker version/upgrade from the Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri.

I'd also be interested in a good folding knife from BK&T.

Something with a convex. Maybe a collaboration with Iz Turley! Just the thought of this awesomeness can not be spoiled with anything I have done.

The Brute would be sweet to see, maybe a little bit longer? Give it a little more reach? Any chance the thumbramp could be removed from the 9 and 7 as a special run?

I would like to see a stainless Eskabar or BK16 -- or an oversized remora.

I would like to see the Brute make a comeback. I think it is different enough from all of the other available models, and it is a unique design in its own right. I think the market would be good for it, too.
