How dense are you? It was his thread in the Knifemaker's forum. He can say whatever he damn well pleases as long as he's not a bigot. Knifemaker's tend to get a bit of leeway in their forum since without them there would be no knives. As for proof, he has seen the guy in action on a different forum and he stated so. That's good enough; don't like it, go somewhere else. This community stands behind Knifemakers and kicks out trolls and their support crew.


There's a famous old saying: if you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change yourself. Translation: 321 is long gone and not thought well of around here. Nothing you could ever say or do will change that so perhaps you might want to change yourself.

And quit SHOUTING at us! It's hard enough to read your point w/o all the yelling.
 
He was recently banned from here by an over zealous mod. He did not deserve it.

Sounds to me like you do not know what to think. So did he deserve banning or did he not. If he did not why was the mod who banned him over zealous.

I do take this seriously and disdain fools who say BFC is only the internet. Guess what? This is a community and it's core does take this place and what it represents seriously.

I believe he did deserve to be banned after hearing from Esav what he said. I even apologized to him for my hastey comments. What I do not think is right is that a knifemaker can throw accusations around without proof and there is little recourse. He should be treated the same. I don't go in his forum and call him a crook without any proof without reprocussions. He should not have started what he did publicly after being complimented. If he had aproblem with 321...he should have given proof or dealt with it privately. As a community member, maker or not, he is accountable as well....
 
I should go pay a fee as a maker and insult people that come into my forum. Apparently that's fine as long as I'm not a bigot....
 
BTW.

No you do not have the right to call mods over zealous without making a legit case and if you do it, you need to do it in the correct forum and actually have some facts that back up your name calling rather than jumping to conclusions and flinging out the terms you used when you have no idea what you are talking about.

I have apologized to Esav. I have not talked in circles, but made a hastey comment. I do not however change my opinion on how the whole ordeal started. Say what you will, but TK acted with a level of class below what you are even saying this community should uphold. Yet, nobody seems to care. Let's treat people equally in our actions. I have yet to see proof of theft. I have seen proof of obscenities that deserve banning as well as arrogance that started the infraction. I am done here. Time to shop.....
 
Who did he insult? Is it not his right to do business with whom he pleases and tell the rest to beat it? If you work for countless hours crafting an item, pay to have selling privileges, take excellent pics and post them, you too can tell others to "crawl back under the rock you came out from" when they stroll in like a wise-ass and offer a measly trade for your hard efforts. That guy was lucky TK handled it as calmly as he did.

If you think that was an insult, you really need to grow some thicker skin especially if you want to stick around Earth for awhile. I know first-graders who are more insulting than TK was and that's only over 4-square. If they find you in the world, you're likely overmatched.

Guess I was asking the other guy to quit shouting; you're both so misguided, it was easy to confuse the two of ya.
 
The only public obscenities came from the guy who was banned. He doesn't have to provide proof of theft because he never accused anyone of theft. How hard is that to understand? He simply told him to go away based on his reputation. You see, reputation counts; everything counts in the real game.

Arrogance can draw an infraction? Then how many points do you have by now?

As for me, I'm sick and tired of you kicking crap all over TK Steingass for no reason and I will continue to point you out as a crap-kicker as long as you post your nonsense.

It was not as simple as choosing to not do business or trade. That's fine. Calling someone a thief better be dealt with in private or backed up with proof for the whole"community" to see.

Sounds more like a warning than an accusation. Perhaps you're not familiar with English but there's a distinct difference. An accusation would sound more like "Fellow knifemakers, this person is a thief and you do business with him at your own financial risk."

See the difference? Subtle but it's there.....

Quite honestly, knifemakers do business with all of us at their own financial risk so it's hardly accurate to consider that an accusation.

I hope something has been learned now that some of the facts have been made public. Especially the part about being proud of speaking you mind.

Sometimes a mind needs actual facts and logic before one can stand behind and actually be proud of what their mind speaks.
