It took me a while but I finally procured a Real serialize 334 Trapper offered through Smokey
Mountain. Flanking is my other Trapper a 334 parts knife likely put together by a Camillus
craftsman who purchase the parts at their fire sale in 2002. Both are 334 Trappers but the first
is bona-fide w/ all the elements and serial # like Craig's.

Nice score David.

Yes David, it's common knowledge this is one of your favorites :) And it's a good one!
Congrats, the new knife looks great!
Wasn't your older knife missing the Buck Hammer/Knife/Nail Inlay in the past?

Yes, I searched and found one from a Forum member. Then with a little sanding of the perimeter, I glued it in. This really helped the looks of that
knife. I emailed Joe H. if Buck still had any of the Millennium shields? He mailed me back saying those are long gone. DM

That really looks great! It makes a big difference!:thumbsup: If I come across one of these knives I will surely buy one.

BuckShack, thanks. Should you find one and think the knife is not such a good fit for you. Go ahead and contact me as I might be interested. DM

A large 2 bladed Trapper with one bolster and a lanyard hole is a smile getter for me. I don't care if the steel is only 420 and the blades
don't lock. It is the right size and features for me. (3 5/8" blades). I've noticed carrying my Duke (which I like) in grocery stores and and around town (in and out of different buildings). It is the right size for that day's activities. It will cut cardboard, strip wire, slice up my apple at lunch
and summer sausage, all fine. But when I go out on the range land in rural areas it is Not enough knife. A 110 fits my needs (the 334 as well).
Because I'll call on my knife to do larger cutting duties. Cutting Sacaton grass clumps to keep a gate from binding on it. This is a cane grass, 3-4ft.
tall and tough. Heck, I've arrived on appointment to a ranch to find they were in Spring branding operations, castrating and worming. And
could not get the yearlings moved out of the way for a while. Nothing left to do but help out until those were processed. Plus, the other
guys knife got dull. Cutting through dirty, hide and hair will dull it. So, I handed mine over so they could finish up. Did mine get dull? Sure
but we moved on. So, what I'm doing that day dictates what knife I'll carry. DM

Thank you and it is my favorite slipjoint. The size difference fits between the 307 and a 317. DM

Hawk, always glad to see you on. I think your area got rain from this recent system passing through. We got 9 tenths. We have been
turning cooler with temps. in the 50's. Have a good one. Thanks, DM

Steel, thanks for posting a photo of your 334 Trapper with jigged bone handles. You know that is a parts knife as it has missing items.
Still, like I said earlier it is a 334 Trapper that came out of the Camillus factory. It will take a good edge and perform just fine for you.
I carry mine in a 110 sheath and it is a good fit. This is not a knife suitable for pocket carry. Post a photo when you get yours back from the
spa treatment. DM
