We appreciate the patience that you folks have shown. We are working round the clock to fill orders. We have had more military orders in the past few months than we have had in a while and Yes, that has put us behind. We are slowly but surely gaining ground and hope to be making a lot of Hogs happy soon.

As far as taxes, I hear you guys. If I could, I would change a lot of things in the tax code for sure. However that is all above my pay grade.

Again, Thanks for the patience and please know that we are doing everything we can to fill orders as quickly as possible while still keeping those in harms way supplied with what they need to continue to keep us free.

This should pretty well explain the wait times-Thanks!!

wow, that is high. Doesn't bode well for kasich unless there is no state income tax.

Ohio sales taxes are mostly regulated by the counties, which is why it's different everywhere. But buying from Busse we pay tax for the county they are in. State taxes have gone down under Kasich and revenues are up huge both mostly in large part to fracking. Will be interested to see how that plays out over the next couple of years.

That said, I like getting new offerings from Busse direct and watch the exchange for the little gems I have always wanted :)

Had no idea, explains a lot. Would be an interesting thread to show pictures of knives ordered by military with specs.........or just how many WTF were ordered.

I'm more than willing to wait in line behind our active duty military, especially those down range.

It makes me feel even better knowing that those in harm's way get prioritized.

I know this isn't knives, but when Washington State privatized liquor, we ended up with about 30% tax on it. Now I think it's down to 18% or so. (Also an immensely reduced selection)

Needless to say, the state run liquor stores across the borders have seen a huge spike in sales.

It's lucky for those who have an option to get what they need without getting gouged by taxes. I never considered that folks might actually be getting their knives cheaper on the exchange versus from the shop.

I had forgotten all about WA's monopoly on liquor. I spent a few years at Ft. Lewis, usually used the class 6. But if you were out and about, and didn't know exactly where a store was located, good luck finding one. I always thought it was a bad way to handle liquor sales. Sorry to hear prices actually increased when they privatized.

Try living in Montana! No sales tax and the state budget still runs a surplus.... the trade off is that we constantly have a flood of people from California.... I would trade that for sales tax any day of the week.

I've got a grab back sittin in San Antonio waiting to come to my house tomorrow. No complaints here ! :)

Take your time.

Since I did not pay up front, I'm always patient as peaches!

If you guys could keep the Cali hordes from spreading any further east, we'd appreciate it.

Was on the phone today with one of the ladies and was told the Trail Scalpel will be ready soon, as they were being surface ground right now.

I don't mind the wait, didn't have to pay up front.
Don't mind waiting for the military to get theirs either.

BUT, I didn't understand having to wait for those 'grab bags,' which it seems bumped some other orders. I'm sure there's a reason for it, but that didn't seem quite right. But it's not a big deal.

I always pay up front. I just don't want a future bill on the brain. I don't mind waiting but I'm pretty sure when we ordered in February it was a 8-10 week wait. We sit at 36 weeks now and I just don't think that's acceptable. I love busse as much as the next guy but the sale platform is not for me. To say the wait trippled or quadrupled because of military orders seems to gain confidence and pride in customers but I spent a lot of time in the military and im constantly around career military and swat / tactical guys and I've never met anyone outside of the internet that has ever heard of busse knives. Certainly never seen anyone in the military or tactical world ever issued one. I think the operations two weeks bit off more than they could chew.

I know opinions aren't popular but like it said, I like the knives and I think anyone who pays big money for a product can be respectfully critical. This sort of thing seems to be a lot more prevalent in the high end knife world than anything else. I won't dwell on it, it seems the wait is part of the charm. I still love Ohio made knives!!

first cuple knives I ordered the wait time killed me but after that gotta lil used to it. only thing I think they should put on the web site 10 to 50 weeks. it was 4 to 12 few years ago I think the they changed it to 4 to 24 weeks maybe im getting the swamp and busse confused idk. im not complaining though love the knives and only one im waiting on at this point is bb13

There is always the exchange, no wait required! But I will admit the wait is easier when OP2W was going on
