36 weeks for a trail scalpel

I always pay up front. I just don't want a future bill on the brain. I don't mind waiting but I'm pretty sure when we ordered in February it was a 8-10 week wait. We sit at 36 weeks now and I just don't think that's acceptable. I love busse as much as the next guy but the sale platform is not for me. To say the wait trippled or quadrupled because of military orders seems to gain confidence and pride in customers but I spent a lot of time in the military and im constantly around career military and swat / tactical guys and I've never met anyone outside of the internet that has ever heard of busse knives. Certainly never seen anyone in the military or tactical world ever issued one. I think the operations two weeks bit off more than they could chew.

I know opinions aren't popular but like it said, I like the knives and I think anyone who pays big money for a product can be respectfully critical. This sort of thing seems to be a lot more prevalent in the high end knife world than anything else. I won't dwell on it, it seems the wait is part of the charm. I still love Ohio made knives!!

Really hope I am reading between the lines incorrectly but please don't imply that Busse isn't being completely honest when they say they have military orders to fulfill. I would never doubt a statement made by the Busse team. I apologize if this isn't what you are implying but it sure seems like it.

Im not implying anything. I'm stating I don't like the sale platform they use. If an unexpected order quadruples a customers wait time then maybe change some things.

Like I said, I'm trying to give respectful criticism. Most people seem to be completely OK with these wait times. I'm stating I don't like it. I'm. Not bashing anyone or anything. I'm sure businesses want to here feedback even if some of their fans might not agree.

Maybe a few changes and more people like me would order more knives and everyone would benefit. To say nothing is to just accept it. I know I have a choice to buy something else but I'm saying I like the product, I don't like waiting 36 weeks for it.

Randall has had long wait time since WWII, and they have always given priority to active service orders. I'd hate to think someone died waiting on a knife in a battlefield just so I could get my newest blade a few weeks sooner.

This might be the most obscene post I've ever read. If that is what you got out of my posts then you are just being confrontational. I haven't mentioned Randall or any other company. Not even gonna touch the other part.

Honestly, that's the lowest technique to try to create and win an argument.

There's a really good reason for that. Military orders are usually sterile or logo'd with the unit's/team's ensignia, not Busse's. So, if they hadn't heard of Busse, the Talon Hole wouldn't help them ID it either. It would just be a quality fixed blade to them. Expand military to also include our allies & NATO, and perhaps other allies nations' HRT/SWAT teams.

Those of us who have been around here for awhile knows of the knives that shall not be shown, and the unit(s) who ordered them. What we know is that Busse proudly serves the military when requested. Sometimes we, the regular customer crowd have to wait a little longer when these orders need completion asap. The upside? Sometimes we get the leftovers...i.e., Military Overruns.
