.38 Special!!

Got my Abalone in the mail today.

I didn't like the idea of hard seams in my knife covers but again, I was wrong. The mark side has clear delineations between pieces but the pile side has 4 completely different pieces which I absolutely love. This handle type is the most dazzling of any cover in my collection.

Got the bonus button to boot.

I have an Indian Paint Brush 38 on the way which is what I'll end up carrying to try out the 38 frame.

I got a stag, a beautiful chocolate one from Barry. He really had some beauties! I have been waiting for these to hit the sites just hoping to land one.

Indian paint brush arrived yesterday. I was a bit worried about it having an orange hue but the color is on point. The texture is almost like a very worn and pocket polished smooth jig and very pleasant. I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet but I'm afraid it's going to have serious limitations due to the shape.

I picked out my stag which looks to have some nice character and should arrive next week.

Very nice. I can't wait to see your stag one.

That is a classy looking pocket knife u.hansen u.hansen . I never heard from CK so I guess I missed it. I'll try to pick one up.

I don't think I'm allowed to name the store, even though they are a paid BF dealer, but I just looked and there's still a few decent looking stags (to my eye) in stock at one of my favorite retailers.

Definitely digging the Indian Paintbrush which arrived yesterday. Used to have a 47 Viper in these covers and have always regretted letting it go.

If it's a BF dealer member it's OK. It's when the discussion turns into one about purchasing, and not about the knives, that we get into problems. Nice looking stag on that one!

Found one with some great popcorn-ing going on (both sides, well matched) and had to grab it. These dealers are killing me with individual knife pics. It is so much easier to resist stag purchases when you know you're rolling the dice on the character of the slabs you are getting. Now ....
