Swamp Rat is excited to introduce the RatManDu in their high-performance SR-3V steel!

Voodoo has been working around the clock to bring this project to fruition and he has scored big-time!

Combining Swamp Rat's SR Heat Treat protocol on CPM-3V steel with the now legendary RatManDu model brings an action-thirsty blade that begs to be shown how much you love it through heavy abuse!

I think it will come. The Ratmandu is the knife that should always be available on the site. It's what got me started and I have a huge amount of variants INFI, Swats etc and still one of my favourite knives

Does anyone have a read on SR-3V’s rust resistance and how it compares with INFI?

Here's my guess from my take with standard and delta 3V, and INFI: 3V has a bit better (not much - I've had both corrode) corrosion resistance & is a bit harder. We'll see :)

Well, that’s interesting. Runs counter to my experience in terms of INFI vs 3V—INFI is significantly more rust resistant than my 3V blades, although I haven’t tried Delta. That’s why I asked specifically about SR-3V vs INFI.

As far as hardness goes, obviously that’s a function of heat treat.

All my 3v has pretty good corrosion resistance, ive never oiled any 3v before. All i do is wipe it down before i put it away. And the one time i accidentally left it out and it rained and still no rust. Ive seen surface rust on some 3v test where a knife was purposely left out for 8 months over fall and winter into spring and all it had was surface rust that was easily cleaned off. So it will rust given a good chance but not bad at all.
