Uh, gold-worked or gold-plated pocketknives and the like are considered commonplace bling, otherwise known as "blang", as in: "Get outta my business wit dat blang". (Translation: "Please remove that tacky accoutrement from my sight".)
Maybe they're anticipating an astronomical spike in the price of gold?
You know what they say about one being born each minute, and since there are apparently 25 of the $40,000 models available, they won't have to wait more than a half-hour.
At of the bottom the picture, I think they wanted actual US dollars. That shows you how much a dollar is worth these days. I have the first dollar I ever made framed and hanging on the wall. I've been offered as much as fifty cents for it.
Some of them look nice, but I think the price is silly. I realize they're completely handmade, limited edition etc, but still too expensive for what it is IMO. Wouldn't refuse it if it was given to me, though.
I somehow had thought it would have been made in the U.S. at that price though.
The dollar doesn't go as far as it use to. Euro's I think would be only 30,000.00. What made me laugh was the 1 of 25. I want to meet the purchaser of number 25 if they step up. If that turd doesn't have bushing, they have a lot of gall-ing, for that bling.
