40T issue

if you use it longer than 2 months your hand will fall off and anything that hand touched (hey hey, this is a family show, get your mind out of the gutter!) will fall off too.

I, however, have mastered the art of beating radioactivity.

LOL! Talk about dirty...

Mastered...Beating... (What a clever choice of words)

Ok, here's the inside story on 42T.

These are the original few, estimates are 10-50 pieces (I love the way BM keeps records), production pieces. They were made before the marketing department decided on the 40T model name. They were intended as sales samples only.

So, if you've got one, then you've got a great collectible piece.
Damn you for being so lucky, Tony. ;)
How much ya want for it?

So, does this mean we won't be seeing for sale any time soon, as you've indicated in another forum? ;)

Tony,to make a very long story short,BM didn't ship the knives that I ordered via a trade and I lost interest. But I entered into a trade and I honored it.Another Formite was interested in a trade when He and I both thought it was a 40T.He still wants it and intends to use it.It sure seems a shame to scuff up something that might someday become valuable. We were lucky that the previous owner of all of those Balisong 30's and 35's put them away those many years ago so that We could benefit from His actions,eh?I'd like that same thing to happen with this 42T.Sort of seems like a moral issue.tom.

He's gonna USE it?! That's like buying all the 49SPL and break them all but one, because that one you're gonna flip yourself... or something. ;)

If you haven't gotten rid of it yet, deputy tom, I could be interested, if the price is not too high. Send me a mail or something if you could be interested in some dealing. :D

ixpfah,I still have it and still can't make up My mind what to do with it.And before Anyone starts the B.S. like this is a scam to drive up the price,it is NOT!This is really bothering Me.By the way ixpfah, how do You normally have knives sent to You? I sent one to a Formite in Sweden a few months back and the postage was $23.00 U.S.That was almost half the value of the knife traded.tom.

Good for you Tom!! Congratulations! I tried changing mine to say "42T" with an electric pencil.., doesn't work :(

I think you should sell it to me for half the price you bought it for. ;)

The shipping to Norway is usually pretty high, yes. But $23 is almost free compared to what 1sks demands: $85 !!

Is it mint, or have you been flipping it?

Kind of off topic a little. Bought a book in 1987. Did a book search on the net two days ago. I paid $16.50 in a used book store. Its a reference book. It is also a first edition.
Net book sellers are asking and getting as much as $698.00 for that book now!!!
If you have odd 40-T's, HANG ON TO THEM!! No telling what the future will bring!
