did you say that the 1.75 fits in the small box (is that 8 inch long as thats the length i need )
jsut looked at the small box specs so if i can get 2 8.5 inch bars that woudl be great

I could probably fit 8-1/4" bars in, but 8.5 would be pushing it. I'll try it tomorrow and see for sure.

I tried the 8.5" length, and it wouldn't fit. 8.25" is the max for this size box. If you have to have 8.5", then we can use the next biggest box.

im going to have a go at one of the bars with my mill to make a glock G36 long slide
i ll use my roll in saw to cut the worst of it off tho so i will have some gaurd stock (might have sam forge the other down into more usefull sizes )
can i paypal you the funds ?

that woudl be great but i worry about the stresses of forging at maybe out of spec heats and then later having to cycle in the kiln many times
so for the slide i ll stick with as the mill HTed it and then harden it after i get the baulk of the slabbing off done (thanks for the offer tho)

I got my package today with an apology from the postal service. It was all taped back up and looked like it went through the war. I,m not sure if anything was lost. It had two large bars and one small bar. Is that right? Be sure to put extra tape on them.

Yeah, one of the other guys mentioned that the bars had chewed holes in the end, so I'm using more tape on the ends. There were three small bars, so sounds like they lost two. Oh well. You didn't pay for the small one's anyway, they were freebies.
