45ACP Pistol - NOT 1911

Assuming that you can get a NY compliant capacity magazine, buy a Glock 21SF and call it good. Here's mine with a Streamlight TLR 1s ( light + strobe) weapon light coupled with WW Ranger T 230 gr JHP +P;

I got over my plastic phobia with the original Mattie Mattel Toy Co. black plastic rifle [AR 15] over 30 years ago..it can be done.

I have had this old girl for years and I have carried her into some unpleasant places. She is an original European style P220 in 45acp with a heel mag release, she fed everything out of the box from the first day.

I have small hands and I find the Glock 21 and CZ97 to large for my hands. I prefer a thinner single stack in 45 and the 220 this is as good as it gets.

You really need to let your wife have a go with a number of guns, I suspect she will prefer a single stack. Good luck with your choice and post pics.....:)

A stainless steel framed Sig 220 is what you want for your wife if a revolver is out of the question. With the factory short trigger it works very well for people with smaller hands and has a lighter and smoother trigger pull.

I have a CZ-75 that I adore, so I imagine the CZ-97 is probably a great gun also at a decent price to boot.
