.45acp vs. 10mm

The 10mm has a lot more punch when it starts pushing high density bullets.

For a dedicated woods gun, however, a .357 revo could do the same or better in some ways.

If you buy full power ammo in 10mm, it ranks as a round capable of taking medium to large game. It is Ted Nugent's favorite back up while on African Safari.

I don't think I would be shooting any large animals with a 10mm pistol. Traditionally, a back-up on an African safari included another man with a .458 bolt gun or a double rifle in even bigger calibers, and for good reason.

:)

For EDC, I carry a 1911 in .45acp. If I'm in the backcountry, I carry a S&W 629 in .44 mag. Both rounds are easy to find and reload. With the 629 I can carry EDC with .44spl loads too. The 44 is a very versatile caliber ~;-)
The only reason I'd use a 10mm would be for LE in a H&K MP5 type weapon. JMHO.
