Fewer than half the USPS flights ever reach Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and Puerto Rico due to paranormal activity. Plus they're foreign countries with customs personnel authorized to seize anything they like. That's why I only ship within CONUS (lower 48).

I live on the island of Guam which is served by USPS. I've been buying and selling on this forum for 21 years with no shipping problems. Shipping costs are the same as state to state. Yet there are sellers who continue to balk at the idea of shipping out of the continental U.S. Their choice. I'm just mystified. But it's okay.

I’ve never had any problems shipping anything to HI or AK.

Paranormal activity?
This! I want to know about the paranormal activity that is taking down those flights! Neither rain nor snow nor sleet, nor gloom of... Holy crap, its Bigfoot in a UFO!

I’ve never had to pay more for shipping to or from AK or HI. Surprised how fast delivery is as well.

Man I was wondering what was going on.

Now I know!

Some 30 years ago
my first "real" blade sale was headed to Barrow, AK
Pretty trip from South Beach to North US Tip !
Three large top knives, two large Busse's and one probably LMF or BMF
Good to remember good times roll ...

If you’re shipping ocean freight, I get it. Who wants to wait for a car to get shipped to Guam? But knives are placed on something called an “airplane”. It flys through the air to allllll the states and territories of the United States!

It’s magic.

It's not paranormal activity. Come on.
It's those damned Pegasus unicorns- they get ingested in the engines and take those suckers out of the sky.
But that can happen anywhere, so don't be afraid to ship to Hawaii or anywhere else.

I sold a Dewalt tool that I didn't want that was part of a package on eBay. The winner was from AK and it cost me $35 to ship it. I never thought about shipping costs in the U.S. since I did a quick check and it was $15 to anywhere else in the continental U.S

Needless to say, I no longer ship anything over 1lb. to Hawaii or Alaska.

Should’ve used priority mail flat rate.
