Took the crew to a place called hanging rock to swim, hike and play around. It was anawesome time, good hike and the weather was 76 degrees. I found a near perfect arrowhead in the creek. This place was underwater a week ago. Real neat place, Ive been coming here since high school.

very sweet looking place, looks like a nice trip and congrats on that find, i don't think a new one could look better.

nice knives too, i like that queen.

Thanks man. That thing was under an inch of water. magnified it a bunch. I cant believe no one else spotted it, this place is pretty popular.

I am looovin that queen. Its a super nice folder. I am not much into folders either.

huh...maybe it was just meant for you? if you dig that sort of thing...

i like having at least two blades in a folder, but that looks nice and classy and stout, like a real workhorse. what's the weight on it, do you know?

No idea bro. its heavy....probably a pound. Its D2 also, I guess they dicontinued the carved bone, but its still around if you look. Thing locks up like a tank, with 0 blade play.

You know, thats exactly what my wife said. She said, aw, I think it was meant for you.

Cool place, and great find! Those osage fruits remind me of when I lived in St Louis and had a bunch of osage orange along the edge of my back yard. And that mountain man is a nice one, I have one just like it.

Thanks man. Those fruits are dense though. My wife chucked one at me today:o. Wouldnt you like to see a picture of that? She is fiesty, dont turn your back on her, she likes to clown!

Awsome pics dude! Cute kid too. Great find on the arra head (that is maybe big enough for a spear tip actually). :D When I hold something like that, I wonder who and when the last person to hold it was and what their life was like.

Good to see your kids out have fun outdoors! Those pictures in with the little stream are killing me...I miss that! Looks like you had a great time, and you were at least able to get some pictures of the knives:thumbup:

Crazy boys man...... My 10 yr old took some of the knife pics:o, hes like - "Man, this looks like a good place for a knife pic!" They grow up so fast...(jake wipes tear).:D

Thats a day well spent J! Great find with that arrow head and the Osage

Thanks for he pics!

j, about the osage-i imagine it cures the same as most other woods, which for walking sticks i give it at least 9 months, preferably at least a year. if after the first few months you move it to somewhere warm and dry, like near your furnace, it will dry out faster still. just always be careful of cracking! i suggest painting or waxing the ends of the stick (or rubber band wax paper around them)
