4th of July Knife - What are you carrying?

Nice! I had an earlier Beast but I think TSF knives have improved quite a bit over the years. Love that blue too!

The quality of this TSF Beast is great, however the Queen produced Northwoods has a pretty bad blade grind, so bad that it rubs. I also have the Queen 69 in D2 and the Shatt & Morgan barlow in ATS-34 which share the same queen frame and they also have fit and finish issues. I don't mind since they're users and get carried regularly, but you would hope Queen could come a little bit closer to GEC. My TC and 77 are unbelievable when you put them next to the Queen produced barlows.

Pulled out the Sb jr. for yesterday with it being made in America and all.

Had this one one me. Today, too. :)

Seems like a popular choice!

I purchased one of the fire & wire Schatt & Moragan's (#22) in elk and ATS-34 at Blade. The knife is just about perfect and each of the few S&M's I have purchased in the last couple of years have had excellent fit and finish, and I might add a nicely sharpened blade versus the Queens of a few years ago. They have been every bit as good as a the GEC slip joints I have purchased in the last few years. The Daniels are doing a lot better with Queen since they purchased the company in terms of QA/QC issues. I know they are trying.

Oh, I carried my usual SAK on July 4th.

I had my rainbow leek, a gift from my son, and a couple of Opinels, a No.6 for whittling with my grandson (plus a No.6 Inox to replace his that I lost the lock ring for) and my new No. 10 Slim in olive wood.

It was like a war zone in my neighborhood on July 3rd and 4th with all the fireworks. Some people spent a lot of money. The high shooting rockets are expensive. I think I would rather buy a few knives myself.

Yeah but, when it's a joint account and you want knives but she wants shoes, a pretty good compromise is just buy a bunch of fireworks instead and have a blast ;)
