Here's a 15 inch 21 ounce BAS by Amtrak kami that is a good khukuri but it was abused in the field. Edge deformation, scratches on the sides of the blade, little chunk chipped out at top of blade 3 inches from tip, rust spots, all tell me this knife was used to hack something knives were not meant to cut. Abused and not maintained. I replaced the knife but if another comes back in this condition that's it. Repeated misuse, abuse and no maintenance tell me this fellow shouldn't have any tools at all. Anyway, it's a project knife but a couple hours work and a little tlc can turn this survivor back into a fine khukuri that will last 100 years. Project knife price: $30 delivered.

Very nice 8 inch 6 ounce JKM1 by KS. I really can't see why it's in the blem box other than Yangdu put it there. $30 delivered. 1/2 + it doesn't weigh much.

10/10 18 inch 21 ounce Kobra by Kumar, the guy who developed this model. Only thing I can find wrong is tiny 1/2" crack in handle. $62.50 delilvered.

Looks like the day for horn.

Somebody grab the JKM-1. It's a sweet little knife.

Looks like y'all both beat me to the punch, but I couldn't be more tickled just knowing that poor devil will be given a good home and restored from the indignity it suffered.

It could easily be that while you and I were doing our micro-second deciding, that someone with ninja-like reflexes was already on the horn, or in the email.

Besides, you have wealth, good looks, intelligence, and wimmens galore...you can do without one more khuk.

It's not anybody's until Bill says it's somebody's.

Now I understand what "grease lightning" is all about. :D :D

Keyboards must be overheated across the globe!

You're thinking of QuackiPuss, aren't you? You missed on ALL of them, do you know that?

(and the not-right dog.)

Thank you, Mr. Bill

A Shanker made JKM-1 for 1/2 off!! E-mail sent, and fingers, toes, and eyes crossed.

Congrats on the BAS Kis, please post pics of the restoration process so we can all share in that poor BAS's "recovery".

I step out of the office (summoned by central office) and I return to all this great stuff. Missed the two I would have jumped on. However, if a 12" wood handled AK shows up....dibbs. So it is written, so let it be done. Charlton Heston week on tv.

I can't.
Really I can't.
Can I?
No.
No no no no no no no

Talk about good buys.
Somebody take it quick.
Like now.
I can't.

That BAS was a hidden treasure.
The M43 was starting to call,"Fix me! Fix me! Fix me and I'll be yours forever."
But the Chitlangi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ddean-- it sure is purdy. I've had my eye out for a chitlangi for a while now, and that's a nice one. I love that handle.

Of course, if you're looking for reasons not to buy it, I hear those grainline handle cracks are next to impossible to repair, and Kumar makes very uncomfortable handles anyway.  Ok, not a very good effort, but I tried.
