And there's a wee little heart cut-out near the base of the blade.

And checkering on the grip.

And checkering on the bolster.

And, and,..........

Cut it out you guys!

I really can't.

Really

Deannnn...you only live once. This one wants you to take it home. You've seen the same look on puppies in the pet store. See? See how it shines at you?

Ben

That's why I'm praying that Hoghead stays on the road job and doesn't have to go back in the yard. I'd have to give up my Khuk habit. That's even worse than a chocolate habit......

:D

Now look here Dean and Josh, why in the heck would either one of y'all want such a high falootin' knife as that there Chitlangi? Forget that it's wonderfully forged and more than likely so beautifully balanced as to be quicker'n a striking diamondback. Forget that it's artistically rendered with sinuously graceful lines, eye catching checkering, and even it's accessories and scabbard are "special". Forget that a dinky 3" drop point hunter "hand forged" in this country would probably cost three times as much as this living embodiment of an ancient, traditional, art form. Heck, I just don't understand why anybody would want such a hoidy toidy hedge clipper, do you?

I'm just happy to have snagged that little JKM-1. Handy little belt/boot knife, easy to carry, and doesn't cause "sheeple" to recoil in horror when you draw it out to cut something. Still, mmmmmm, Chitlangi, must look away, must look away............

Sarge

Sarge, the knife is clearly calling Dean's name. In fact, I can actually hear it faintly, even though I'm about three hours away from Uncle Bill's magic shed. It's a fairly high-pitched cry, pleading, almost plaintive. "Deeeeaaaaannnnnn.....buyyyyyyyyyy meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." It's getting kind of annoying. I wish Dean would buy it just to shut it up. I'm having trouble concentrating at work;)

Of course, I think that Chit would be so proud to serve as a celebratory khuk for Sarge's return home. Chit and a couple of cold Shiners. Works for me.

Ben

I was thinking "WOOHOO! JKM1.." then I read down the post to see that Sarge got it.

Now... that Chit is nice, and I did have to sell one awhile back cause it didnt seem to like me. Now would be a perfect time to replace it. I also missed BLADE due to school, something that I always miss, but one day I will get to attend.

I think I will go balance my checkbook and see what I can do about this.

Edited to add:
DOH... too slow! :o

Got a proposition for you Dave, it isn't more than a two hour drive from Waco to Austin is it? Come on down to the gun show/Dog & Duck this Saturday and we'll do some "horse trading". I guarantee you if Berk even brings just a small sampling from his collection you'll walk away glassy eyed and stuttering.

If you're interested, send me an e-mail and we'll work out the logistics. Same goes for any Central Texas area khukuri lovers. I'm a bit of a bore myself, but Berk and Pappy are both excellent gentlemen and well worth meeting. Maybe I'll get Pappy to show me the proper technique for snake head lopping ('course I'd be tempted to use my sword for such pursuits, added "reach" don't ya know).

I can assure you, Earthling Kismet, that you have nothing to fear from aliens. As you can see from my avatar, we are quite fond of khukuris. Himalayan Imports has quite the interplanetary following.;)
