As I learn more and experiment with pattern welding, things like this happen. My welding turned out much better than my photography however; a very difficult knife to photograph.
Created at my forge with a 1084 core, 15N20 middle layer and 1084 on the outside.
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles in my Evenheat furnace
Close attention to a fine grain throughout the blade
Flat grind with some forged texture on the flats
Black canvas Micarta handle
Overall length: 12 inches
Blade: 7 1/4 inches
Be aware that the clip has been sharpened in case local laws prohibit such
