5 years, 3000 posts GAW

My Buck Solo came in today and it looks great :) I love the grain and it is just the right size for my coin pocket! It reminds me a lot of the Schrade Pal but the Buck is a bit longer. So far I think I am going to enjoy my new budget knife and it will share pocket time with my Peanuts and other smalls :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Mike's description - Eye Brand F&F with Opinel blade - is pretty accurate. Action is a bit rough, a few small scale/liner gaps, and there is some blade play, but the blade is very well ground with a thin edge. Handle and blade size are pretty close to an Opinel #7. For the price it a good deal, a great D2 blade.

It arrived in time to accompany me on a hike to Franklin Lake in Sequoia NP:

My new Old Hickory showed up today, while I was at work.

What a monster!!!!

Here are the old Old Hickory I inherited from my Grandfather (that my dad says were old when he was a boy, and used to butcher their farm animals, including cows).
