$50 hole in my pocket

Looks like you got a killer deal. Beautiful find.

I assume you're talking about the Laguiole and you're right, it was a "killer deal."

I just received the knife w/leather sheath and sharpening rod. It's smaller than it looks in the pics (it has a 3 1/2" blade but is only 1/2" wide and high (at its widest points), but that doesn't detract from what a value I got. Perfect for as a fruit or steak cutter.

The knife is simply beautiful, near mint w/just a few scratches on the highly polished blade. What sets it apart is the brass boslter, brass liners, detailed "bee" at the top of the spin and the very attractive scroll work that extends down the full length of the (what I assume is a) stainless backspacer. The equally beautiful wood scales (not sure what type) attached w/brass pins. The finial atop the sharpening rod is also brass.

Just treated the leather w/some Lexcol (it was very dry) and polished the brass bolster/liners and the finial and it looks GREAT! Will have to take some close up pics and post them to the recent acquisition thread to brag about my find. :)

I just received My intrigue in the mail today. It is long (3.75), and light like the Endura. Not slick/smallish like the CRKT/McGinnis colabs: Premonition, Summa. Good deal for $40.

I wonder what knifemaker, Gerry McGinnis thinks about the Intrigue?
