500 $ Folder ?

This thread already contains a LOT of solid choices.

If you like production lines and can stand large folders, you ought to check out the new Zero Tolerance line. The ZT301/302 folders are new...and frankly look pretty impressive.

Not many folks carry them -- they're essentially from Kershaw, if I recall correctly.

If I happen across a link, I'll post it here for you -- but you can just search for ZT or Zero Tolerance and find it yourself...

My favorite fixed blade maker Anders Hogstrom has recently made a few folders
but they may be more than you want to spend but definitly worth it.
You can't go wrong with canuks Lightfoot and Lambert.

Hinderer pieces is fantastic, great info. Anybody knows on the price of XM-18? Cheers

For about that amount I'm having Mark Terrell make me a "customized" version of this...his Dactyl

Check out the Trident folder, they are very heavy duty. Made in Utah, and a great combo of material/workmanship.

Strider AR or Smf, also consider Hinderer. I've never considered a Chris Reeve knife as "tactical" more a gents folder.

Emerson just listed some "Christmas" knives on his web site last night but all but a few are gone already. They run $550 but will certainly climb in value if kept original.

For me Trident folders look very cool... but, has this lock anything wrong?

Also, what's the odd angle for just above the actual tang/lockbar grind? I know Iwouldn't trust my fingers to the one that is barely engaged.

If I had the money I would get the one with the G-10 scales. Love the feel of the G-10 on all my knives with it.
Time to start saving some of my disability money if I can.

Ciao 4now
Ron
