The standard 50th anniversary Buck 110 and the finger groove version are now available on the website. If you haven't
used your BCCI benefit these might be an option.

I have used up my BCCI two for the year. I hope come Jan 2014 they are still in stock.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Buck was already shipping them out to their retailers.
I'm assuming they will be about the price of what you would normally pay for a Buck 110 at those retailers…which is a bargain in most cases.

Man o man you are good at posting pdf. Thank you kindly for the heads up on availability. I'm hoping that the supply lasts until the New Year when I re-up because I've already reached my pro-site quota of two knives. And I thought that it was a safe bet to take the plunge for 2013. Just shows how wrong I can be. A beautiful 110 and that tang stamp is perfect.

I think the tang stamp pretty much date codes the knife to 2014.

That is my understanding.

Here is Buck's description of the 2014 Anniversary Edition of the 110;

110 Folding Hunter - 50th Anniversary Edition!

The classic 110 Folding Hunter has been transformed this year in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The famous features of the 110 remain, such as the Macassar Ebony Dymondwood handle and brass bolsters. This commemorative version, which will be included on all Model 110's for 2014, features an anniversary medallion on the handle and custom blade stamp denoting 50 years.

Thanks for posting. I pulled the trigger on a 110 FG also and expect it any day now. Hope it's as nice as yours.

Ordered a finger groove and a standard ...they arrived but the standard did not have the medallion but does have the 50th blade stamp...after a quick call to Buck they are going to replace it with one with the medallion Great Customer Service

I'm surprised they didn't do a blade etch on the anniversary knives.
I stumbled onto another Anniversary 110 last night. It's from a dealer I never buy from, but I ended up there, when I Goggled another brand.

According to their site, it has smooth black bone scales, and instead of the medallion, it has Buck 50 along with a knife and what looks like a hatchet, done in brass, on the mark side of the scale, and it has 50 years with a scroll on the blade. According to their site, there were 2,000 of them made.

It's different, but a little over done imho. I can't link the knife, as it is a non supporting dealer. I'm not sure if Buck actually made the knives for the dealer, or if the dealer outsourced them. If anyone wants to know who has them for research or other purposes, send me a P.M.

Sounds like you are talking about the 50th Anniversary 110 made by Buck for Smokey Mountain Knife Works. The logo you see on the blade is the old Buck logo of a hammer and nail. Yes they were made by Buck.

Is the standard model 50YA 110 going to be a limited production run (x number of units) or is it going to be produced for a full year?

I just picked up a FG model last night, and am kind of torn, we all know Buck knives are made to be *used*, not sit on a shelf and gather dust, and be looked at, yet if this 110 is a "collectible" model, perhaps I should pick up a plain model as a user....

The ones with the medallion on the side are the 2014 regular production models.
There are also 4 limited edition models that are much more expensive, and pretty neat.

So, the solution is simple then, go to Wally World and get a standard model 110 (no finger grooves) so I can have one of each, yet use 'em both, as they were designed to be

I forgot how addictive the 110 is, I've been looking at the Cabelas S30v model as well, but I hate the black oxide blade and graphic on the blade, so I then went to the custom shop page and have been having fun designing my own 110's...

Why are the really nice bone scales so pricey :( ...
Although, I think that the combo of a rivet less S30v with brass bolsters and orange wood looks nice too, as does nickel bolsters and walnut scales

It might take a while for wallyworld to sell their 2013 ones and get the 2014 models in, but you never know.
Shoot, our local wallyworld, you can hardly ever get an employee to open the knife case for you.....
Big5 or another store, might get them in stock sooner.

When you were playing in the custom shop, did you see the Paua Shell scales?
Those with no rivets, S30V blade and in a nickel silver frame, are my dream 110!

I thought the paua shell scales were a tad too gaudy for my tastes, in addition to far too bloody expensive, that's the price of a nice CZ-452 rifle or a decent used handgun...

I like simple and understated, simple is good

Yep..... very pricey.....

I figure it would be great for those black tie occasions :)
