5pc Colombian surplus military machete assortment ?

Well that handle was a failure, it split on me so I went back to the drawing board.
No big deal though because that handle was quick and dirty.

A broken axe handle, some brass pins, epoxy, a twine wrap to cover up the gaps ( handle is wider than the machete tang) and the blaze orange duct tape just to cover everything up.

This light thin 22" blade with a long handle should be one helluva brush and weed slasher .

The axe handle recalls the handle on a real malaysain parang. I know the shape is not the same, but it has that look.

I have two 5 packs coming from different stores. I had originally bought one and then saw a Memorial Day sale for $19.99. I’ll take pics when they come.
Where was that? They may do it again...

A store called major surplus and survival. It is still that price.

Shipping is pretty high from Gardena, CA to the east coast - $18.. Though it was the same for two 5-packs. Wish I could shop in their store.

Boy I've really been loving this 14" spearpoint machete.
I've barely been using it a week and already it's starting to look like a faithful companion.

14" sorta Barrigon pattern with a small belly, what's not to like? Though a real Barrigon is more like this:

Now this is a real-life Barrigon.

It may just be the way they ground this one, I see no other patterns in their catalog that are similar.
I'd have to say it is a Barrington pattern.

Here’s my first 5...

You got a good lot there for sure.
I would have liked to have gotten one of those hook blades like you got, and the little guy you got looks nice.
Same handle as the 22"er I got but much more appropriate on that little one there.

Btw these black plastic handles may look about the same as a cheap Chinese Walmart machete, but I can tell you those like to crack and break but Incolma is definitely using a tougher plastic.

That is a nice selection. I have that hook in Imicasa flavor. It took a while to get an edge on it, but it is working now. It really has that come-hither look. Very nice for working up against fences and walls. June 1, just approaching peak weed-cutting season around here.

Interesting, it looks like the panga tapanga a=nd billhook are about standard.

I was thinking about ordering another in a few weeks ( supposed to be getting a $25 SG gift card for taking a long ass survey with them ) in Hope's of getting a couple other interesting patterns, but now I'm not too sure.

So, apparently I had ordered two more sets. Now I have more machetes than I’ll ever need in my lifetime. ;)

Here’s the next batch...

It would have been nice to get a little more variety. Got two identical sets. :)

Well, I got sucked in by a $19.95 sale price from a vendor who must remain unnamed. Naturally, they made it back on shipping. I am hoping for the long billhook, plus any of the short ones not in a Latin pattern. Twelve weeks of enforced idleness makes a guy do some foolish things.

GeofS GeofS , if you otdered from the same place I did, I can see how you got two sets. The Paypal checkout kept adding to my order at checkout, trying to sell another set. I had to bail out and restart the checkout a couple of times.

Save the box. One of those duplicate sets would make an awesome giveaway.
