I am surprised that no one has brought these up yet (maybe because we still dont really like TAD?)

I saw these over at that black and green place and they look. . . well interesting.

What are we going to call them "Tactical Art Knives" ?

They are walking the fine line between really cool and really silly, i am not sure which way to cast my vote yet, how about you?

My vote goes to the very silly. Personally, I don't like the look of these knives at all. They may very well be good knives, but I just do not care for the style. Some look a lot better than others, but none appeal to me.

I kinda like some of the smaller ones, to be used as neck knives, although a couple of the designs are just useless.
But the larger ones seem to have a very small grip, which just wouldn't work well for me.

Aside from that I also don't see anything about the steel used or handle materials.

not to be rude as im sure some will like them but i think they look like hibben rejects

I felt that some of them were kind of out there, but I also saw a few that really looked pretty cool.

They look pretty darn cool but I will reserve judgement until someone reports back that has used one.

They definitely have the "WOW" factor. Heck one looks pretty darn close to some of the designs I got a few months back.

They get worse the further down you go. Handles don't look to user freindley on most of them. Yeah, some have the cool or "wow" factor but as Kieth stated there is no appeal for me.

united cutlery wannabes is right. These are the stupidest knives i've seen they look like they would tear your hands up if you really used them.

is this a tripel aught design or someone elses? These guys really seem to go for the gear queers and ninjas wannabes. titanium dog tags spy capsules, fake 550 cord, this crap and they cant even handle a guy cancelling a preorder without being dicks? Ill stick to ranger joes & knifecenter.

SmokeAndJump, I totally agree, TAG is RUDE. I have to say from my personal experience with TAD says manner and business concepts are the far the worst I've seen. I've had no response back from TAD until I've written them a saucy comment with request on price. I'm glad I'm not only one with same feeling toward them.

You guys might be right about the customer service issues, but you are competely wrong about what they sell. They sell only the highest quality gear and tools. So what if you don't like every product they sell? They still probably have some things that you like.

Jeff

P.S. They're paracord isn't fake, it's just has 4 inner strands instead of 7. They never said that it's 550 cord(the kind with 7 inner strands).

TAD's done right by me.

Cancelling a pre-order is one thing, anyone can change their mind. Doing it twice and saying you did it because you bought the item somewhere else is just ignorant.

Jefroman, right on. They might have "questionable" customer service. Some people say it's bad and others find the service good. Some knives are hit and miss, but I have allways seen more good gear than bad on their sight. These knives IMHO are a miss. Actually, the only thing that turns me off of these knives is the handles. If they toned down all the grooves and angles and whatnot they could be really usefull.

RN0601, they have prices posted all over their site.Smoke a jump, they are not wannabes.
Are you a "tire kicker" If you are TAD will weed you out.I have known Patrick and crew a long time. They do not take any BS.
They always give a person a fair shake.

Nifrad, not every price on TAD Gear is listed, there is "ROP" on some of their fine and very rare items. As far as you commenting or reffering me as a "tire kicker" I will not even get into this subject since it is matter of what comes first, chicken or egg. I have made my comment based on my experience with TAD Gear, and I hope you can respect what I have to say without saucy remarks. As far as my problem with TAD Gear, I have recieved response from Josh at TAD Gear, and at least I know now that if I want to conduct business with limited and rare items I have to call TAD Gear instead of attempting to recieve response by e-mails. And I personally do not think TAD Gear would appriciate that your comment on TAD Gear weeding customers since Josh did not make impression that TAD Gear would discriminate their customers.

sorry maybe its my age but when I see words like ELITE and BEST and FINEST and OUTFITTER, then i seeoverpriced substandard products and fantasy knives i think snakeoil salesmen. This screams HYPE and WANABE to me. titanium dogtags. wow ask anyone who ever served if wearing dogtags is fun, just who is this product for?. 400pound 4 string 'paracord' for $5.75 when I can get real deal 550 at rangerjoes for .13cents more yeah thats the best quality gear. 400 dollar knives that belong on star trek sure sign me up

I work hard for my paycheck My money is importnt to me. I have no time for 'elite" companies who think they are more important than customer courtessy. thank god this is America and there are choices in this market. I guess im a tire kicker when i expect to be treated honestly and shown courtesy when i'm ready to drop money for expensive knives and other gear i need for my life.

hell so what if someone cancels an order deal with it you are in business. Unless its ready to ship, its still my money if you can't deliver im free to go elsewhere to someone who can especially when i depend on that gear. its America remember? free market, capitalsim you know. they are there for my benifit not the opposite. since when did it become a priviledge to spend my own money that i sweated and bled to earn? no way.

maybe they should call themselves 'jeffreys' like on saturday night live. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/01/01bjeffreys.phtml
