They definitely look purpose driven to me. For small to mid-size fighting knives I have a personal preference for the blade to be angled forward (Emerson La Griffe, Szabo UUK, etc.) These knives are are all pretty much straight. Another thing that I don't care for is all the notches (or whatever they're called) on the handles. It would seem to me that they would be uncomfortable.
The blades do have some the characteristics that I really like though for fighters. Really aggressive shapes using recurves, and even the double recurve that FolderVsFixed posted are very nice. Another thing about them that I like is the fact that they are all double edged.
I am looking for a boot knife right now. If the price is right, It may be hard to decide between the TAD double recurve or the Branton Marauder Boot.
* Slamming TAD in the general forum was uncool. The thread had nothing to do with customer service. I don't have time to spend too much time on any forum, but from what I remember TAD has done right by many. Like others have said take it to GBU if you have a problem.
