6/28/08 question of the day

I would love to say bravo-1 but mine hasn't come yet so I guess that would be cheating.:D. Well I edc two blades, a swisstool RS and a kershaw storm So I guess it would be the dark-ops fiskars.:D:thumbup:

Hey 3wolves, no joy yet, eh?

I may have inadvertently misled you the other day. While I ordered 2 knives on 2 different occasions and didn't have to pay duty, the day before I received some other stuff I ordered from KSF - Bravo1 sheath, ferro rod and some 550, and customs opened it. I got a bill for PST, GST, and $5 handling fee. Just thought I'd let you know.

Meh, just cleared customs on Thursday according to the tracking number.:grumpy: I just hope that It cleared across the BC border and not the Ontario one, if Im lucky (bad luck has been following me aound for the past couple of weeks), should be in my paws by tuesday. Duty just depends on how much time the customs officers have on their hands really. Let me know how you like the leather, thinking of buying it too, the kydex really turns me off, even from just seeing the pictures.

The leather sheath is a quality piece of work - Recommended.

Mr. RR, sorry about the hijack! - Machax for me.

Small hatchet, it will cover the gaps left by the folder-SAK Farmer or Medium Stockman.I know there are more interesting or glam alternatives in my fixed blade collection but a small axe can tackle nearly anything.

Wetterlings hunter's axe if I was needing to make shelters. Otherwise, a stout blade like Ontario TAK1 D2, Swamp Rat Camp Tramp or Busse ASH1.

Stay sharp,

Hell, if you already have a small knife, why not have a chopping tool?

Make it a 1/2 to 3/4 size axe for me!

Would probably be my Wetterlings large hunter but I could do with anything in that size range, 18-24" or so.

Probably wouldn't be necessary to have a ton of chopping power...but a solid folder will do the vast majority of small work anyway so why bother with something only slightly different?

Now my preference would be to have my Aurora and the axe...but even something as simple as an SAK Soldier (or Farmer - I just recently started paying attention and noticed how great these are) paired up with a good little axe will cover you for a LOT of situations!
