6 with no molle locks?

I just received my 6 from Tactical Defender, and was surprised that it didn't come with any goodies- just the knife and sheath. Is this standard? It was a gift from my wife, so I didn't say anything, and when I checked out the TD site, I noticed that it doesn't mention anything about the locks, paracord, or barrel lock, but all the pictures I've seen on other sites show these and list them as being included. Should I email Tim at TD and say something? I know the locks aren't expensive to purchase separately, but she paid a pretty standard price ($125) and with TD being listed on ESEE's dealers page, I didn't think we'd get nickel & dimed on something like this. Anyone else have this experience?

BTW, I am absolutely loving this knife- it is the perfect companion to my RAT-3, and I can't wait to actually get out into the woods and put it through its paces!

That's odd, it says on the ESEE site it comes with molle locks.

Definitely call TD.

Ok, I'll get in touch with TD. Can someone tell me what should come in the standard package? Molle locks and screws, I know- paracord and lock? clip plate? is there like a standard "bag of goodies" that should have been thrown in the box? The knife and sheath both had a code sticker on the poly bags they came in (unfortunately, I've already tossed the packing materials), does anyone know the code that would be on an "extras" bag?

Thanks all

Yeah, I just checked that too, which is what prompted the post. Anyone have experience with TD?

I've dealt with Tim at TD before. He's a solid dude. I just bought a 6 from another vendor and it arrived yesterday. It came with knife, sheath, MOLLE clips with screws, and ESEE cards. No paracord or cord lock.

I'd shoot Tim an email. He'll take care of you. I know he sometimes has things drop shipped so it could have been an error on the other vendor's part.

EVERY 6 that goes out of Rowen shop includes Molle Locks, Period. I don't know the dealer but we are getting more and more complaints about small dealers who take things out of the package and then don't ship them to the customer. We are about to fix this problem by sealing the bags that our knives come in. That way the customer knows if it has been opened.

I assume and ESEE6 Plain edge with brown sheath ?
ESEE-6P
Knife,sheath ,2ea molle clips, paracord , cord lock,4 screws,4 barrel nut,4rubber washers :D

Since it didn’t come with that stuff, I was curious if it hadn’t been picked over. Give TD a chance to straighten it out. If not, it might be a good word of warning for others. Some gun shops were famous for removing one of the spare mags from a gun to increase their profit. Grrrr.

And TTD, it’s not brown, it’s peanut butter. Don’t ya know yer colors? :D

not to side track but..... I have been asked to leave more than one gun shop for complaining about that very issue back in the 90's & reporting them to the gun manufacture about that

Adam you must be a Peter pan fan not Jiffy :D

Well, starting next week we are going to put an end to dealers picking through shit and not putting everything back in the bag. This is definitely not the first time it has happened and when you go to them they will probably claim we didn't ship it to them. Bullshit! Starting next week we are going to start sealing our bags. So, if the customer gets a back that has not been sealed then they will know it has been opened by a dealer. Just remember there are a lot of bags out there right now that are not sealed so this swap over will take a while.

I hate dishonesty. The smallest lie pisses me off as much as the biggest one. If we catch a dealer being dishonest then we will refuse to sell to them or support them. Period. But that doesn't mean they won't buy through a wholesaler.

Another case of "why the hell would someone do that?"

So a dealer opens a bag, pulls out two MOLLE locks, screws, washers paracord and a cord lock...AND?

And are they selling them as extras? Are they hoarding various parts for some unknown reason?

Jesus, I guess you're lucky you got the sheath with the blade..

I'd never guess that pilfering would be a problem. Good plan on sealing the bags.

Jeff,
My shipment was two individual poly bags, one with the knife (in a cardboard sleeve) and cards in it, the other with just the sheath. Both were taped shut, and each had a printed label with a code (I'm pretty sure the knife was ES6PKO or something similar, don't remember what was on the sheath). Does this sound like how you send them out, or were they repackaged? I guess the point is probably moot, just wondering...

I've sent Tim at TD an email, I'll let you know what response I get.

ESEE6P-KO is Knife only no sheath ?

If you bought it as a knfie only then that's what you should have gotten. Then you bought the sheath extra. So, the dealer is right in this situation if that's how you bought it.

TTD- yeah, the bag that was labeled KO just had the knife in the sleeve, the sheath was packed separately- maybe he was trying to move some old KO inventory, and just threw part of the more complete kit in? I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt (especially since TD is one of the vendors listed on the ESEE site), and hoping he'll make this right.

I see lots of people on ebay selling the KO version of knives....knife only no sheath. Possible mix-up somehow? TD posts here, I'm sure he'll respond.
