$60 is my limit

Cool, a little more research just found me the Dfly for about $10 cheaper than before!!! Its gonna be nice not having to worry about rust as much. :D

Dragon fly is a fine choice, go ahead and get it or try for a Delica which you can find in the exchange for that price a decent amount of time.

Dragonfly is a super tiny knife. For $50, you could scoop up a Victorinox Climber/Pioneer/Explorer + Ontario Utilitac II/Rat 1. That's a lot more joy for the money, in my opinion.

Good luck in your decision, either way.

I'm 13, and here's my EDC:

Like you, I fund all of my own knives. In the $60 range, my favorite would be the Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight. It can be had for $50 used on the Exchange, or $65 new. The Spyderco UKPK is nice, too, if you don't mind it being a slipjoint.

Might I inquire, what does a 13 year old do to fund a knife habit that includes sebenzas?

Endura. THAT is a great Spydie, but then again you really can't go wrong with any of them.

I'm fond of my Dragonfly. It sits quietly in the watch pocket of my jeans. Sometimes I clip it, but mostly I just tuck it away. It's nice and wicked sharp!

Its here!!!! Its a great little knife. Sits nicely in my pocket and is super light which I like. The only thing that it doesnt have is tip down carry but I can live with tip up. Overall its a great knife and im happy with it so far.

Good choice on the D-fly. My friend had the g10 one but lost it, what a shame. I'm 14 and self funded as well so I know the struggle!!

I ordered my second Spyderco ever, first Dragonfly today. The salt yellow in plain edge. Got it for under $50 on the large internet store.

It will be my saltwater knife on my Zodiac inflatable boat, clipped on my board shorts. I may run a fine chisel over the nose to slightly blunt in case of drops though.

Will be great for crabbing utility, cutting weeds off the prop, etc. I also ordered a stainless Mora Companion for the gear bag.

The dragonfly is a killer little knife. But since it doesn't have steel liners like the Delica or Endura it doesn't feel as solid by comparison. Not to say it isn't a strong design, but I think it would feel a little better in hand if it was a tad thicker in the handles and had nested liners like its bigger brothers. But then again, it's a small lightweight light-duty folder so it's design is perfect for its intended uses.

You should certainly give a Delica, Strech, or Endura a try too in the future. My my hands down favorite lockback Spyderco is the Caly 3.5 in Aogami Superblue. That knife is perfection.

I'm going to add one more vote for the Delica. Gives you a little more edge than the dragonfly, and can be found for under $60.

I was really close to getting an Endura, but the salt knives kept calling out to me. And the dfly was about what i like for size (says Wally as he fondles his cattaraugus 225q). Im starting to like some of the bigger knives for sure though. But smaller knives are more my thing right now.
