How do you have 70 magically appear!? I hope lots of forum members get them :D I have mine, and a backup as it is right now. Carrying it today actually.
 
I hope some of the people that seem to often miss the exclusives and sprints are now checking in on the forums more often.
Hard to miss out on any of the limited runs if they are.
 
Sooooo glad international customers got a share of the spoils. Ten only, but it at least gives us a chance.
 
Well shoot, there's one less. :) I'm not the biggest Para fan, but this steel is SO good, it's hard to pass up. Darn it BF.... Y'all cost me money!!

Oh well, if I don't like it, I'm sure one of y'all will take it off my hands. :)

I would assume it has to do with production overages that are planned for. If you promise X number of units, I would think that you actually plan on making X+Y where Y is the estimated number that would not pass QC. So if, of those Y units, Z are "good" units, then actually number of sale able units is X+Z, not just X. This would only apply to non-serialized runs of course. At any rate, good luck to those that still want one, I have mine and am loving it, a spare might be nice if I had the extra funds tho!

Wow - thank you! I was bummed that I missed these on the latest run because I thought I was on the list to be notified and wasn't. Very happy to get one for $40 less than they appeared on the website!
 
Thanks for the heads up. Called and ordered one. Curious how they ended up with an extra 70, but hopefully they're all perfect.

Anyone concerned about flaws should not let that concern fester because Spyderco will always stand behind their products. No way will they ship defective products. Neither will KnifeWorks.

I suspect the extras were a small additional batch requested by KnifeWorks for the Blade Show. Nothing sinister.
 
I would imagine that after encountering the problem of not being able to fill everyone's preorder in the past they set aside a few extras as a "safety net". Figured it would be better to have a few extra at the end than not quite enough? Just guessing.
