I just cannot seem to stop buying Spyderco's lately. First the Manix2 in S110V now this...

I would imagine that after encountering the problem of not being able to fill everyone's preorder in the past they set aside a few extras as a "safety net". Figured it would be better to have a few extra at the end than not quite enough? Just guessing.

It was just the last shipment from Spyderco. These offered now over the phone are what's left after the pre orders are filled.
They are made and shipped in batch's from Spyderco, and they may have made a few extra on this run. :thumbup:
A handful over the 1200 ordered. Rather than returns or left overs as someone mentioned.
These were all just received & are now being sold & shipped.

Finding old stock you didn't know about happens all the time. Spring cleaning often reveals hidden nuggets like this in any warehouse. It might even be as simple as someone put them behind some other boxes when they came in. Inventory control isn't always an exact science for small and medium size companies, though I'm not saying Knifeworks doesn't have excellent inventory control, I've just seen this happen a few times before...

I'm happy because I got mine after initially passing it up and then regretting it immensely.

They can't keep up with demand on regular production Golden models. On exclusives it depends on the contractor how many are made in the run.

It was a little to the left when looking at it, closed, blade up, tip facing me . Dose not have anything to do with this thread just letting people know what i had buddy .
